Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow (PlayStation 2, 2006)

I expected this game to build on many of the cool options from the first game and add in better capabilities, adventures, etc. Unfortunately, they took out the cool elements from the first game and made it a generic fighting game. You never have a sea battle, never transsport goods or have much control over what you do.

Essentially, you walk through a predetermined series of adventures simply smashing people. The only thing piratety about it are the graphics. This could be any smash'em up fighting game really. If you are looking for an actual pirate game I would strongly suggest going back to the original game or something else as you won't find it here.

Nice game...keeps you interested Graphics still don't compare to my favorite PS2 game God of War - but getting there - plenty of sword fights and hunts for treasure - buy it - it is enjoyable to play-

My son likes this game...we haven't gotten all the way thru it, but it is fun so far. Only Johnny Depps voice is in it, so you don't get to hear the real Elizabeth or William. We love these movies so that is why we decided to try the game. Pretty easy to figure out, especially if you have played other PS2 games before. Be careful though that your own crew doesn't turn on you!

If you've seen the movie then the game is even better. Take Jack on so many exciting adventures. Great for anyone to play.

average game - not good not bad. some action parts good, some quite slow and repetative. good game for low price

Just what i wanted. The playstation game plays perfect. it was new in the box sealed so i expected it to play. I love the movie and can not wait till the new one comes out this summer. i bought the game because it was at a resonable price and it was an item that i was willing to wait to get.

i honestly cant say how I liked it because after waiting a month to get it.. it wasn't even the right one.. it was a dvd for i don't know what... but it wasnt the ps2 game I ordered.. problem is it came clear from Thailand.. what a pain in the butt to have to send stuff back and mess with it. So I will probably just eat it. But I am sure it is probably a great game if I could have gotten it.

It is a good game, but it is short. My son likes to play it. But he finished it in only 3 days. The game is pretty simple to play.

Depp is funny..lol he has an amazing ability to keep everything in control, all the crew the people rely on him yet always seemingly get labeled the bad guy, the tyrant yet he is pretty funny thru most of these.

I bought this game as a gift for my husband since he's a big Pirate's of the Carribbean fan. It took me over a week to beat the game, but anyone else could surely under a week. Graphics are OK, i've seen better. Will and jack look good but Elizabeth looks nothing like herself. Overall the game is a lot of fun and can be rather addicting, which indicates a good game to me. I thought this game was a little harder than Worlds end. You play as Jack primarily in this game thus the title. You can switch off to Will or Elizabeth in different spots. You can upgrade combo or attack modes. The only thing I didnt like about the game that i was extremely annoyed about...your partner either will, jack or elizabeth depending on whom your playing always seems to end up in your way. Id have to switch characters to move the other out of the way. This happened more than often in the game and really got on my nerves. All in all, I would recommend buying this game. It was tons of fun and the kids even enjoyed watching me play and watching the story line.

I like this game very much...but some of it is hard to beat..but its all good..my daughter does most of it. She plays it all the time when she has a chance 2.. Thanks for this game

Very much like the movies. Pretty easy to understand and play. My son is a Pirate freak!!!! Great game!!!

What can I say, my grandson loved the game. When he's happy, so am I.
I bidded on three games that day, and got 2. Was very pleased with both.
