Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (DVD, 2003, 2-Disc Set, Special Edition)

Johnny Depp blows this picture about Pirates and the hunt for buried treasure out of the water. His portrayal of the lovable Captain Jack Sparrow really was what made this movie a must see. If you can find a better leading man in Hollywood I dare you because you won't. Johnny Depp's Sparrow is so popular that it inspires impersonators for Halloween or just to give tribute to his eccentric character. The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl isn't some movie with a really long name, it has swash buckling pirates, a buried treasure, guns and swords, a damsel in distress ( Kiera Knightly ), and a wonderful sword fight featuring Orlando Blooms character and Jack Sparrow. Like I said, its a swash buckling good time. Too bad I can't say the same for the sequel.
