I am inclined to favor books about pirates and the sea, and have read quite a few. But I must say, this book about the history of Captain Kidd is truly excellent. I was wrapped up in it after a few pages and found it hard to put down. The author's use of imagery make the book easy to picture in mind; the writing is clear and virtually effortless to read. A great book!
