Album Notes This CD reissue of a bootleg record, recorded in Stockhom and Sidney in the summer of '73, captures Zappa & Co. at one of their most jazz-oriented periods. This edition of his band was mostly jazz cats--Jean-Luc Ponty, George Duke, the Fowler Bros., and they all get a chance to stretch out. On "Redunzel" and "Dupree's Paradise" the band gets to push the envelope a bit with some wild, unfettered soloing, and Zappa gets in some restrained yet raunchy wah-wah guitar ("Dupree's Paradise" would give many contemporary "noisy" alternative-bands a run for their money). The recording quality, overall, is very good. Zappa fans who value the albums HOT RATS, BURNT WEENY SANDWICH and UNCLE MEAT will eat this up.
