This the 2 CD 40th anniversary release of Pink Floyd’s “Piper at the Gates of Dawn" which was newly remastered by James Guthrie from the original master tapes. Discs 1 and 2 contain the full "Piper" album, represented in both mono and stereo versions. Recorded at Abbey Road at the same time The Beatles were cutting "Sgt. Peppers". Pink Floyd: Syd Barrett vocals, guitar; Roger Waters vocals, bass; Rick Wright piano, organ; Nick Mason drums.

*There is also a Limited 3 CD Set Release of Pink Floyd "Piper" which includes a third CD of Rarities which include three tracks that were previously unavailable. This release also includes special packaging designed by Storm Thorgerson which resembles a cloth-covered book and a 12 page reproduction of a Syd Barrett notebook.Pink Floyd's debut was its only recording based on the vision of founding singer/guitarist Syd Barrett.
