Pioneer VSX 1019AH-K 7.1 channel Receiver

Instead of having it play 7 speakers in the same room, I set up my Pioneer AVX 1019ax to play 5 Bose surround speakers in my living room as zone 1 & to play two outdoor-inground speakers for the patio area as zone 2. So I can be watching a DVD inside, in full surround sound, while my kids are listening to their Ipod, through the Pioneer's frontal hookup, as they swim in pool. This Pioneer gave me the option of adding additional amplifiers but at 120 watts per channel, it powers my 5 Bose speakers, including woofer, & my 2 8" omni speakers from outdoor speaker depot, quite nicely with clear highs, solid mids and deep lows.....even when both zones are turned on!

The television surround hookup was a breeze although I did have some trouble getting the on-screen guide to work. This is importantant since a large part of the set up runs through the guide. This was due to the Pioneer's skimpy manuel & took my a while to figure out that zone 2 can't be turned on if you want to use the guide. This would be the only trouble I encountered.

All in all , I highly recommend the purchase of this receiver....you won't be dissappointed!
