Pioneer GEX-INNO1 XM Radio Receiver with Home Kit

I love it! It gets signal everywhere. I have never had a better Xm radio in my life. You can take it on the go, home, car, anywhere!

This is the first generation of Pionner Inno. It is a unique product that records LIVE off the satelite at a push of a button. It has very intuitive controls on the front of the unit.Buying a leather case from Belkin just completes the package. This model of Inno was changed ( FCC issue ). The receiver has a strong frequency that might interfere with other devices. i like it because it doesn't have reception problems that others are talking about. (ie.,other models)No flipping through an IPOD for me. XM/Sirius has some great programming. Listener feedback does make a difference. Mark Goodman is an INFO guru..PEACE & LOVE ~ K

THis was a great find. My inno2 died. bad battery and my fault for messing with it. Maybe it can be reset. Anyway. I kind of like the inno1 better.

Sometimes the signal may get interfered with but overall I think XM offers a lot of choices and dont have all the commercials, I know what the song is for later downloading and can record on the fly for later playback when signal might not be there or use as mp3 player. The battery may not always be the longest on these devices but we have portable power or extra batteries so this should not be a issue :o) I have had the Inno 2 and now the Xmp3 and they both are great radios, The people I refer tend to not go back to the radio :o) Where can you go and listen to everytype of music at the touch of the finger... I bought this to listen to NFL football & other sporting events. When I am inside my house or office, you cannot receive a signal unless you have a wide open area to face the home kit antenna. I have been outside by the pool with the built in antenna and lose the signal off and on. I don't know if this is a radio problem or an XM/Sirius signal problem. Either way, you shouldn't have to pay for radio that you cannot receive.

I liked that it was compatible with napster's mp3 files. I have the original inno that will not work with napster. What I do not like about it is that the accessories for it (Car Kit) are hard to find. The older car cradle is not usable for the FM feature. If you find the cd-ubcar2 in stock, it is at full price for the complete car kit when all I need is the cradle.

I will probably work around the FM feature by using the cassette feature on my two older vehicles that have a tape feature in the car's radio. My 2005 subaru does not have a cassette in the radio.

The truth is in the end I didn't pay anything becuase the radio was never shipped to me. I do hope that nothing happened to the seller but after an initial text or two back and forth to confirm the shipping details I heard nothing from him as if he just fell off the face of the earth. After over a month of no response from several requests, PAYPAL was nice enough to refund my money. All my thanks to PAYPAL and the folks at eBay. I guess this sort of thing can happen when you use these services but I'm also glad to see you look out for shoppers like me. I will gladly continue to use your services thanks to the great customer service I have experienced.
