) I have previously owned a new Pioneer Elite Dv-37 DVD player for which I paid $800.00. I believe that the far more inexpensive DV-48 surpasses it in most every parameter except CD playback. Though even in this area the DV-48 is quite admirable and outstanding considering the prices that you can pick one of these up for.
Looking for a great DVD player and a very good CD player? Do yourself a favor and save some money to boot and buy one of these excellent players.

The unit is extremely well built for a basic model player. The previous owner took very good care of it and packaged it very securely in it's original packaging when they shipped it to me. It's worth every penny.

I was looking for a DVD/CD player to go with a portable A/V system for church. Not only does it play DVD well, it also loads audio cds quickly, shows track number on the display, and has chapter/track advance buttons on the unit.

I have recently entered upon the world of HD Televisions and was wondering what all of the hype regarding 1080p Upconversion was all about! So, lo and behold, one day I see on Ebay a Pioneer DV-48AV DVD Player for less than $100 and I decided to give it a try. I couldn't have made a better choice if I had "researched" the item for a year! I am very happy that I took the plunge and have Ebay to thank for making the item available at a more than reasonable price!
