Pioneer DV-414 DVD Player

This model was released in 1996 early into DVD production. I bought one when they were first released. I had the player for many years. Other than basic trouble from a dirty lens, it worked trouble free. I gave it an excellent from at its time of conception. Todays standards will gain it a good rating. There were minor glitches such as a gentle pause. This occured toward the center of the movie, about at the seaming. It was brief, and after the first couple movies it became un-noticeable. The option to turn off face lighting was very nice for a theater mood. The display would vanish leaving merely the black light above the disk tray. The sound and picture were absolutely breathtaking for an early release player.
