Pioneer CDX-FM1287 12-Disc CD Changer

This is an outstanding CD changer. It installs easily and works flawlessly with the Pioneer system. It never skips and holds 12 discs so you won't be short on choices for music. The unit will send the CD info to the head unit and will broadcast the titles as well if the head unit is able to perform this function. I've hardwired this unit because I didn't want to deal with the possibility of loss of quality of music by relying on the FM transmitter/receiver mode. While it is nice to have the option to install the unit even more easily by simply transmitting the signal to an FM station on your radio, the ideal way to optimize your listening experience is to hardwire the unit so the sound stays digital. It sounds awesome and I have installed the exact same unit in two other vehicles of mine and they all perform equally well. I wouldn't by anything else unless you are moving into a "Hard drive" type of system where CD's will not be used. I have a hard drive installed and listen to much of my music via Hard drive or Ipod but wanted the option to put a bunch of disc into my system also. Happy listening.
