Pinocchio (1999, DVD)

This film is a delight. To be enjoyed by people of all ages.
Stands the test of time.
Excellant music, Jiminy is one of my favorite characters.
We all wish films were still made of this quality.

I first saw this Disney animation when I was a kid, bought it out of nostalia. I wasn't disappointed ... it still hasn't lost it's magic. To my mind it's the best Disney has made.

I got the movie Pinocchio. It came quickly i most say. It appeared to look new and sealed when i got it. I looked at the disk and there didnt appear to be any scratches. But, as soon as i watched it it keep constantly freezing and i was very dissappointed. Even more dissappointed because i watched it with my friend and she knew i got it from ebay and it keep freezing. I love the movie pinnochio. Its a great movie. But, its always freezing.

This movie also is in the vault. I have'nt ssen this sine i was a child. It brings me joy to see it again.

I'm looking for any Walt disney DVD. I haven't this one yet, I still don't have it as i can't read anything on the dvd i received. I'm so disappointed.

Come on.....what is not to like about an original Disney classic. I can remember our mom taking us to the movies to see Pinocchio as many times as we could. 2 thumbs up!!!!

Bought this for my granddaughter. She liked it somewhat, but it didn't do a whole lot for her. She prefers the 'princess' movies.... Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, etc.

I purchased this DVD for my little grandson. This was none a new DVD. The package was open and the DVD had a little scratch.

It was hard to find the DVD version of Pinnochio to share with my kids. This seller was fast and the movie was great my kids enjoyed it. The seller is an honest person with fast turn around I would definitely buy again from him.

The one-two whammy of audience and critical indifference to "Pinocchio" and "Fantasia" killed Walt Disney's desire to experiment with the limits of animation in the 1940s. From then on, play it safe was his motto. This may be one of the greatest tragedies to beset popular American culture in the 20th century; despite the depths of pretension and kitch in "Fantasia," it was at least evidence of a spirited mind in pursuit of the unattained -- but "Pinocchio" must have broken old Walt's heart. There are visual effects in this movie that remained unchallenged until the digital age, and it's worth recalling that every single one of them was drawn by hand. It has one of the most beautiful and exciting musical scores in the history of the movies (I can't hear Cliff Edwards' high, pure falsetto holding that final note of "When You Wish Upon a Star" without chills), a deeply plangent sense of emotion that never tips over into bathos, and a wealth of detail that is still staggering after 65 years. But it may be too dark a movie to attain the popularity of more cheerful Disney cartoons like "Snow White" -- although even that one can frighten the tots. Now: where is the double-disc Special Platinum Edition???

The movie was great. Brings back old times watching thme with my kids. Pinocchio is a movie that every family should have.

This is about the magical power of believing in your dreams and also will teach children to be moral and choose the good in life. I have to wonder if some politicians forgot to watch this movie as children. It teaches that lying is wrong and that a lie keeps growing and growing once it is told.One of my favorite quotes by Jiminy Cricket is: "A cricket can't be too careful you know." It is laugh out loud funny when he says it. The first part of the movie is hilarious, the middle is a big adventure and the ending is a wonderful surprise for children. If you have ever wished upon a star, or a falling star, this is for you!

This is a great Disney story for the whole family. I love Jiminy Cricket!! All Disney movies are great for all ages and families! Everyone should own a copy!

I am buying most Disney movie I always wanted when I was little for my little girl. Sometimes I do not agree with price but I will still try with my best bet.

I have always loved this movie in whole but the only thing I don't like is the slow beginning and too much talking that goes on. This loses my child's interest right away until all the action starts. Otherwise it is very nice!

What can I say it's Pinocchio. It's a Classic that I did not have. This a movie you can pass down to your kids and your grandkids. A great story about growing up.

A classic movie with sentimental value to me! The quality was great and I was satisfied with the seller.

When I received the DVD I could tell by the cover picture quality that it had be recreated or copied and when I played the DVD it stared skipping at a certain part of the movie. But I was refunded my money without any trouble.

I bought this DVD on ebay because it was cheaper than Amazon and other sites.
It was brand new still wrapped. The reason I wanted Pinocchio is that I just returned from Italy and thought it would be great for my grandchildren to become familiar with the story and that it originated in Italy.
