Pinkalicious by Elizabeth Kann, Victoria Kann (2006, Hardcover)

My niece at seven thinks she's too old for this book, since she's already reading at the fifth grade level. But truly she did enjoy reading this with me and looking at all the pink-o-rific pictures.

The heroine of this book eats way too many pink cupcakes and turns herself pink! She's initially delighted by this. Her parents try to give her a bath to get the pink to come off, but it doesn't work. She dances around singing "I'm Pinkerbelle!" She blends in with pink peonies, and finds it a problem when birds and bees flock to her and fly around her.

Parents will enjoy that the cure for her problem involves eating lots of green vegetables. A cute surprise ending finishes off the book.

Adorable, colorful, cheerful pictures complement this sweet short story.

We have every book under the sun, but this seriously is my favorite, as well as my 3 yr old's favorite. I am going to start giving this as a baby gift for girls, with an inscription in there. BUY THIS BOOK!

My 3-yr. old daughter absolutely loves having her parents read and dramatize each sentence and/or parapgraph. There's so much detail that the reader is able to to that with expression. In addition, my 7-yr old son can read and the reading suites his reading level and he enjoys reading with expression and loves some of the humor contained in the book. For example, when Pinkalicious has to eat green food, he loves reading with energy and the illustrations are great! Our family loves this book and it's been a popular reading for the kids every night. Our daughter has to sleep with her book!

This is a WINNER with my 7 year old daughter & myself. It's easy reading, the story is funny & the pictures are wonderful!

My daughter absolutely loves Pinkalicious! We read it almost every night. We are giving it as a gift to all of my nieces this holiday season. I was thrilled to see Purplicious and cannot wait for my daughter to see that on Christmas morning. If your daughter is a "princess", she will love pinkalicious too.

This is a great book for boys and girls. My girls LOVE it.When I took it to my 4 years school to read the boys loved it just as much. Peter the brother turns pink at the end of the story and the boys liked that.

I decided to buy it because my daughter's teacher at preshchool read it to the class and she just loved it. They wanted $16.99 for it at Target, and I got it brand new on Ebay for $11.00.

My grandaughter loves it and wants to read it all the time!!! Her favorite color is pink, of course.

This is a really cute story about a girl who eats pink cupcakes and her skin turns pink! She likes it at first but then finds out its not so great being pink. She ends up having to eat a lot of green things to turn back to normal. The story is a good idea. However, the little girl isn't very polite. That is the only problem I have with the dialog. My children love the story. However, they also know NOT to act the way this little girl does!

I bought this book about a month ago for my little girl. I read the description and thought it sounded like a good story. It really is so cute. It has very colorful pictures and descriptive words. It kept their attention and is written very well. My kids really enjoy listening to this story. I recommend this book to little girls of all ages. This is one of the best books I've bought for her collection.

This book is fantastic!!!! I read to my 3 year old daughter a lot. We recently checked this book out from our local library and have probably read it 10 times already. I would highly recommend this book. The story is super cute and the illustrations are fabulous!

The book was for my granddaughter who loves pink. When it arrived, the pages were torn so I contacted the seller and they refunded my money. I had to do a little prodding but they came through. I was very appreciative.

I bought it because my daughter wanted to get it! little girls like it because they love the color pink! it's all about the pinkalicious right!

Seller never sent the item. 3 weeks after the end of the auction they were telling me they sent it. After I started a Paypal claim they sent the money back because they didnt have the item. Total spend time was 30 days for nothing.

This book was recommended by my daughter's preschool. She loves it and wants to read it everyday.
It has an imaginative way of encouraging her to eat her veggies.
