I purchased a set of I5's and they are by far the best feeling, longest irons I have ever hit. If you are looking for a super forgiving iron, try the G5. The I5 is a little less forgiving due to the smaller head from heel to toe, but the feel is more crisp. It is also a easier club to work the ball.
As with all Ping products, never buy off the rack. Ping has the best club fitting system in the business - spend the time and money to get fitted correctly. You will be glad you did.

I bought this ping I5 set a few weeks ago and fell in love after a few rounds. BTW, I'm a 20+ handicap and I play about 2 times a month. With the ping I5, I get the forgiveness of the G5 but without too much offset. I just don't like offset period. This iron is very solid build with great respond. On my miss hit, I don't get alot of vibration or twist like my MacGregor and Wilson FS. I actually hit alot straighter. But the most important thing is confident at the address. I never get that before, but now I do. With the dot system, I get exactly what I'm looking for (or close to) with out custom fit. Since I always buy golf in standard, so this work out much better for me. My only complain is distance wise. I must have lost about 1/2 a club length with this set.

Great clubs, bought them to replace my G2s The lack of offset has really stepped my game up. I am not a real "worker" of the ball, but I swear it almost looks like I am hitting a draw.
BTW, Ping has heard the people, and they now have a military discount. We need to give companies credit when they are open to change.

Ping doesn't support the military. They have shown this by refusing to sell Ping products to over 60 military installations because they gave 10% discounts to active duty and retired military members. This is unacceptable!

Only been able to play twice since I have gotten these, but, so far so good. They seem to be easier to hit than my old i3's and maybe a bit longer and more accurate. If you are going to buy Ping’s, make sure you get fitted. I got lucky finding a set to my specs.

I love the quality of Ping irons in general, and this used set of i5 irons allowed me to purchase the quality of irons that I liked for a price that I can afford. I don't play golf often enough to merit buying these clubs brand new, and I had trouble finding the i5 irons in local golf shops. Ebay has a huge selection of items in varying condition which allows an internet shopper to find exactly what he/she wants. I was very pleased with the condition that the clubs arrived and I thought the item description was accurate.

Always loved Pings. Took an 8 year vacation from the game due to injury. Bought the I5s and getting my game back quickly. Very forgiving but still retain great ball feel and control. Don't really think I could be happier unless I could play more often.

I was reluctant to retire my Ping Eye 2's and had my reservations about the I5's, however I must say, I have been pleasantly surprised by them. They look good, feel great and I hit them as least as well, if not better (longer & straighter) than my Eye 2's. I highly recommend these sticks for anyone who may be considering purchasing a new set of clubs.

These irons, and I have played with all different brands, seem to be the best for my game right now. They are not as offset at the G5's so you can really hit down on the ball without all of that big sole bounce, and they look great at address giving you the confidence you need to hit good shots. I suck at golf but these irons help me suck a lot less. If you really suck you should try the G5's. you can eat a handwich with one hand and swing with the other.

Had a set just like these before i was injured, sold them,and after recovering bought the I10 and there was no comparison to the I5. The I5 were easier to hit,carried longer, and produced mopre stop action on the greens. Would not reccommend for high handicapper because they are more of a blade setup.

The irons are very nice they have a high ball flight and land with alot of spin. The irons are not very forgiving and have a harsh feal at impact. I think the cushion shafts are a must in this set the ones I had did not have the cushion safts. Overall a nice set just get the better shafts.

WOW!!! These irons are what I hoped they would be. Very forgiving! They are an absolute joy to hit. Larger head for a very big sweet spot and balanced for a smooth swing. I've only had them for three weeks but I'm impressed.
