Ping i3 O Used Irons

The first thing you should know is I am or was a 15-18 handicapper. I have a friend who is a scratch golfer who has been on my back for years to buy Ping's.
For the last six years I played Taylor Made Burner LCG's, I bought those new.
If you are an average golfer, but think you are going to start playing on a regular basis then by all means consider an investment in Ping irons.
BUT, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! I waited 3.5 months before I made my investment in these irons. I also went to Ping.com and took their measurement test as well as getting fitted at my local pro shop. In both cases I measured for blue dot irons. I was a borderline stiff or regular flex, but the set I bought are regular flex and have the Cushin insert (to absorb vibration).
Another key to buying Ping's is to make sure all the serial numbers match. If a seller won't provide the serial number, be very cautious. In all my dealings and negotiations I was always given the serial#. This way, you can check the history of the club(s) at the Ping Community (free service) and make sure the clubs you bid on or purchase are legit clubs.
As far as the i3 O's they live up to every review I read prior to my purchase. I got very lucky, the set I bought was manufactured in 2001 and had very little wear and tear. In fact, the grips are still the original and still tacky. The seller was one of the best most informative sellers I have ever dealt with on ebay. She was selling these clubs for a friend.
Like any new club(s) these take a bit of getting used to. However, after playing three rounds and struggling a bit I have now gotten very comfortable with these irons. When I set up and aim, my shots are going straight or within 10 yards left or right of my target. I was shooting in the mid to high 90's with my old clubs....and yes..even hit that magical century mark that sends us to the 19th hole for relief!
I've now broken 90 my last two rounds and my best round was an 83 a few weeks ago. If you play golf you know that much of the game depends on practice. So, I do spend a lot of time at the range just working with each club.
These clubs have a very good balance and you feel the club head through the entire swing. It almost at times seems bottom heavy. I have slowed my entire swing down and although I am not getting as much distance I am trading that for accuracy. I know in time I'll be able to swing harder and gain back the yards I've given up for the short term.
The 5 thru 9 iron play flawless. I struggle a bit with the 3 and 4 but even when I blade a long iron I still get a straight shot. The set I bought are a 3 thru PW and all the serial #'s matched. The only thing I will do with these clubs is have them re-gripped...these will stay in my bag for many years.
These clubs have truly turned my game from that of frustration to one of enjoyment...and yes, I still hit some sideways...but that is golf...stuff happens.
I have been so pleased that I even bought a new Ping G5 Driver...I'm hooked on these clubs.
I may have paid a bit more than some other bids for similar clubs (my cost with shipping was in the $400 range). However, if you can find a set that has low mileage and are a matching set grab them, you'll be smiling a lot more playing a game that I used to refer to as Jungle Polo!
Good luck...and by the way..I do not work or have any affiliation with Ping...these clubs just work!!!
