Over the years Ping has put out some very nice clubs, but the new Rapture hybrid might just be the best they have ever produced. This is a great scoring club from long distance. It is head and shoulders above the G5s. You won't be sorry if you put one of these in your bag.
Club received with mud in the gooves and green paint center of face. Could not see the defects in the photo.Contacted seller for return approval, and told would accept return..
Club is in excellent condition and was shipped within 24 hours of the purchase. I received it soon enough to get out and use it on the course within days of my purchase. Excellent all the way around.
Last week I bought a used Ping Rapture Hybrid in very good conditions. The shaft was in perfect conditions, it had no marks of a wrong use. The grip was in perfect conditions, almost like a new one. The only thing that I did not like was that the headcover has full of dirt and dust, besides that the club is great. I bought this club since I was not able to buy a new one and this one looked in good conditions.
I bought a 21* Ping Rapture hybrid to replace a TaylorMade Rescue 3h that i had worn out. The Rapture is far superior to the original Rescue. Low CG high launch angle from the rough, consistent performance. I liked the 21* so much that i desided to buy a 24* and park my 4-iron.
This is an excellent golf club. It has a great feels, is nicely weighted, and swings smoothly. I owned a 21 degree Ping Raptue hybrid which helped me to hit the ball straight and consistent distancel. I loved the feel of the club and the success I enjoyed with it so I wanted the 24 degree as well. In my opinion, hybrids are clearly the way to go in preference to long irons or high-numbered fairway woods.
I hit my 3 iron well but this club is far better. I would recommend it for anyone who can not hit fairway woods consistently. The lower center of gravity makes it hard for you to top the ball.
I believe the Rapture hybrid has the potential to help golfers of all abilities. They are long, straight and so much easier to hit than long irons or fairway woods. Obviously they cannot correct a bad swing, but there is no doubt that as your swing improves this club will add to the improvement!
"smallcomputers" review is idiotic. Ping sends more golf equipment to our soldiers in Iraq for free than all other manufacturers combined. What a pinhead!
This Golf club was just what I was looking for. I thought I could buy it for less than what it cost in the local Pro Golf Shop. With shipping it came to about the same.
Ping doesn't support the military. They have shown this by refusing to sell Ping products to over 60 military installations because they gave 10% discounts to active duty and retired military members. This is unacceptable!
