Ping Kushin Putter Golf Club

I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR A PING PUTTER EXACTLY LIKE THIS ONE BUT BECAUSE IT WAS AN OLDER MODEL, I WASN'T HAVING MUCH SUCCESS. I FRUITLESSLY LOOKED IN EVERY PROSHOP AND GOLFSHOP I FIND, BUT NO LUCK. ONCE I TRIED FINALLY ebay, I FOUND THE CLUB I WAS LOOKING FOR AND PURCHASED IT. DELIVERY OF THE PUTTER WAS QUICK AND I NOW HAVE IT IN MY BAG. THANKS ebay!!!

Putter was exactly as described. Hard to find, a good old putter. Was actually purchased for a friend, he really liked it.

This club has great feel. It is made from an alloy that is similar to the berylium copper alloy that is no longer available---like the famous square groove ping Eye 2 irons--but it is not berylium copper. The alloy contains Manganese but it is about 60% copper. The slot behind the face softens the feel. Whenever I get fed up with my Rossie mallet head or my Ping Anser I go back to one of these. There is no real alignment aid, so you have to sqaure the face to your line--it gives you a different approach to putting which is less mechanical and more feel oriented. However, I have had these modified to add an alignment aid sight line which makes them more usable. Julius Boros won a PGA with one of these. The older ones are Kushin with a K, and are bit shorter from end to end. The newer ones are Cushin with a C--both have the same alloy and that slot behind the face--buy 6 of them, different lengths, and play --- you will find one that you love and you will never give it up. if you like blade style putters, you have to have a Kushin--I prefer the K over the C. The shaft on both of these is bent--that is not because some guy's wife hit him over the head with it!!! Don't pay more then $20 for one of these C versions or more then $30 for a K version.

Easy way to pick up a great classic club at a low cost and sent directly to my home. Way to go Ebay!

I went through a center-shaft putter phase and my game went ugly quick. I was using an Aserta Eclipse and an Adams Spec 03. Both of which are nice putters, but I couldn't make them work for me. I was 3 putting almost ever hole, I was having a hard time with direction and speed control.
So I went looking.
I didn't want to spend $100+ on a new putter but wanted something better than average. I went to a local sports resale shop and found several old Pings: the Kushin, Anser, O-blade, and A-blade. I hit all of them in the store with a Titleist Pro V1 ball. All of the putters but the Kushin felt toe heavy and I wasn't getting a good response from the others like I was from the Kushin. It also has an amazing tone.

What a great sound, I know I have hit a good putt when I hear that wonderful tone. I love the weight, feel, and response I get from this putter.

Like Scotch, a putter is one's own taste. If you happen to come across one of these, grab it and hit it; maybe it will fit your game.
