Ping Karsten I Iron set Golf Club

The older Karsten Ping irons are, IMHO, the best buy for the money around today. They offer all the advantages of perimeter weighting, making those mis-hit shots go straighter and longer. They have offset hosels, again making straighter shots more natural. And, as for the shafts....when these came out, every golfer who used them, whether young or old, male or female....played better golf, no matter that the shaft was a little stiffer. As for the size of the heads on these irons....just because they aren't as large as some of today's designs doesn't make them harder to hit.....just the opposite, as a large hear promotes hitting more towards the toe of the club, creating more twist....these heads offer all the advantages of technology, without all the price, plus the 17-4 stainless steel heads just will never rust....all you need to do is to take care not to let the shafts rust.

All in all.....after trying all the new technology, I have played better golf today, now that I am in my 50's, than with all the newer designs, and you just won't find a better value than these old Ping irons.

I have been able to use my new clubs in our weekly golf league and weekend games. My game has improved tremendously and I'm more confident with my my drives and chipping. I had more flexible shafts as a beginner but the move to Pings has made me more confident with the stiff shaft and my shots go further and straighter.

Nice set of clubs, but shafts may have been shorten by 1 to 1 1/2 inch ? Clubs are shorter than the standered clubs I have now and my clubs are standered shafts but, I should have ask sell befor I bid on them.

Very nice classic set, still in good shape. Transaction was smooth and the wait was not long. Just had the clubs regripped for wife and she loves them.
