Ping G10 Fairway Wood Golf Club

The Ping G10 four wood has a great feel, is easy to hit and just looks good. I am a senior golfer strugling with the loss of distance. I needed something to reach the long par threes and help with the longer par fours. This club is the one...
The only bad thing I can say about it is I probably should have gotten the three wood and the five wood. Now I am trying to decide if I should get the strong three(14 degrees), which would be a good compliment to this club(although harder to hit) or get the regular three(15.5 degrees and easier to hit than the strong three). You can see that the four wood and the regular three wood are really two close together in loft.

This is the first Ping club I found that suits my game. The head is solid and gives the feedback, control and results I expect from a fairway wood.

The true difference in a club is not created by the manufacturers anymore it is in the SHAFT.

The shaft I selected and therefore the club I configured was the Ping G10 4 wood 17 degree with a proforce V2 regular shaft standard length.

Other shafts would have made this club 2nd rate. For me.

The ping std reg is too soft and sloppy.
The ping std stiff is still sloppy but firmer and slightly controllable.
The ProLaunch Red and many others just do not work for my swing or game...
The EPIC and one of the Speeder shafts work really nice BUT I do not like the price.

So since these factors all include the ping head, the ping grip, the same golfer with only the shaft changing I guess my review is more for the V2 shaft than any other part of the club.

For my swing, my skill level(or the lack of it) The V2 High Launch shaft is the way to go...oh and attach some kind of head to the shaft that you like the looks of...

In this case Thanks Ping I like this head and LOVE the V2 shaft..and the same shaft is my favorite in the G10 hybrid 21 degree.

So if you didn't get my review here are the cliff notes:

1. FIND A SHAFT THAT WORKS FOR YOUR GAME.
2. Find a club head that suits your eye and sounds good to you.
3. Put these together and add a grip that fits.
4. Then go play golf and have fun because if you are reading my review you, like me, probably need our day job to pay for the club.

I hit this club at a demo and enjoyed it so much that I decided I wanted to buy it. I have now played it through one round and was just as thrilled as I was during the demo. Looking forward to playing it all summer.

Product was just as described. Even exceded what was described in the ad. I would buy from this individual again.

love the club. very forgiving. bought the 3 wood because i bought a g 10 driver and added about 20 yard to my drives. i did get fitted for the driver but liked buying used for the cost savings

I'm 66 years old and bought a Ping G10 a year or so ago. However, I sold it and got caught up with all the new club hype and bought another G10 with a regular shaft. Found that it hits about the same as my old Ping G5, an when you sole the club, it looks instills alot of confidence that the ball is going to go long and straight. The shaft is a little longer than the standard 45", but does not impede the balance and swing weight. Ball goes medium to above medium height in flight and rolls a long way. Quite because it imparts less spin on the ball because of the weighting of the clubhead. Quite a handsome club and looks good any way you look at it. Glad Ping is still making these G10s cause if it ain't broke....don't.......it!
You get alot of bang for the buck since it is just as good if not better than the new hyped up $500 clubs.

Advise: Be sure to get fit or adequately demo club before buying it.

I had a set of Ping G10s and needed a 7 wood to add to my set. I like my clubs which is why I went with another one.

Just as described. I cant hit a hybrid and I know Ping makes great fairway woods. Excellent choice on my part.

The best fairway wood I have ever owned. I sold a Ping G5 5 wood and purchased this one on eBay. The G10 is a much better club than the G5. I gained about 10 yards and a much straighter ball flight. I had similar results when I upgraded to a G10 Driver from my G-2 Driver, although that was an even more dramatic improvement, gaining 20+ yards and also much straighter ball flight. This is my third generation of Ping woods (I3, G5, G10) and by far the best yet. Love the G10 irons as well. Tim

I needed a newish Ping G10 3 wood to complete a set of G10 woods. I ended up paying a little more than I anticipated but am very satisfied with the club.

The Ping G10 5 Wood with a UST PRO ForceV2 Shaft has been a great addition to my golf bag. The draw bias has helped me keep the ball in the fairways with sold contact and super launch angle. Would certainly purchase another Ping G10.

This club sets up well for me. The high degree clubs have much shorter shafts and i found i control the ball much better with the shorter shaft. i have a 24* and a 21* with an 18* coming. i hit the 24* about 210 yds much more consistantly than i hit a seven wood with a standard length shaft. 21* = 225 yds. i have to have everything working to hit an iron 225 and my misses with a 5 wood can be much worse than with these clubs.

To me these are like a club as easy to hit as a 7 iron but you can hit it 200-240! what can be wrong with that?

WOW.. Bought my second wood after being amazed At the absolute killing length of the 15.5 Ping G 10. Almost as long as my Ping Rapture Driver. After Startleing Discovery Quickly Purcased the 5 wood. It is very High and 25 yards longer than the other 2 5 woods I own. The two woods Complement each other. The 3 wood, hot boring and long, the 5 wood HIGH and long. I'm no Pro and have to pay for my equipment. Ping has hit a winner with these woods. Warning the "regular" classification is pretty firm. I guess that is why they have two regular Classifications. My club head speed is 91-91 mph.

I love the look of the G10 series. The orange is great!! The Ping G10 3 wood is a great wood!! I love it! I used it at a local austads and fell in love with it!! It hits so cleanly everytime!

I bought the Ping G10 fairway 7 wood a couple weeks ago and have been very impressed with its performance. It has been very forgiving and easy to hit. The ball sails off the club with a nice solid sound. By using E-bay, I saved about $60.00 from the normal retail price. A great buy and a great product!

Sets up nice and square to the ball. Good solid sound at impact. L-O-N-G. This 17* 4-wood is as long as some 3-woods I have tried. Very nice boring trajectory. Orange color looks really nice on the club, and the matching Orange NVS shaft goes well with the Orange and grey headcover. Oh and one thing, and this may just be me, but Ping has figured out how to make a head cover that is not stupid hard to get on and off and yet it won't fall off.

I bought the Ping 4 wood because I wanted to try one, I have bought two Ping drivers on ebay and liked them. The club I received could not have been any better
if they said it was never been hit.

Club is in very good condition. I decides to change from regular flex to stiff and this is my first aquistition, I just play it yesterday and I hit it very good for the 1st time
