Ping Eye 2 Plus-No-Plus wedges
Review created: 06/13/09(updated 06/13/09)

There's always been something about these wedges that makes me feel right with the world knowing they're in the bag. Depending on your personal preference, I'd say the Ping Eye 2 plus wedges with or without the plus were probably the very best designed wedges ever made. They give the average player a lot of confidence at address, and just seem to do their job very well. Others will argue and say Cleveland or Titleist, but I've played those too for many years, and I still play and primarily use Cleveland wedges. However, it took some time to learn how to use those wedges properly, unlike the Pings, I could rock and roll with those right out of the gate. To be fair, my all time favorite wedge was a 60 degree Cleveland Classic with the "Square Grooves" stamped right on the sole. Now that was an awsome wedge. Getting back to the Ping Eye 2+'s, I don't believe Karsten ever improved on that design, and I don't believe any other manufacturer surpassed it either, they may have equalled it, but there's nothing superior out there to this day. That's just my opinion, and you can take it for what it's worth. Best thing to do is ask around, and if you see somebody who plays Pings, ask if you could try their wedges. I hope this review was helpful.
