The affordable Pine Technology SM-320V MP3 player offers 32 MB of built-in memory. You can add an optional 32 MB CompactFlash card for about an hour of listening pleasure. This player features extras like a key lock and a recorder that can store up to two hours of voice recording. A 12-character LCD displays the song title and artist. This player offers a serial connector for downloading music from your PC--less than 35 seconds to download a 4 MB file to the player. You'll need to be using at least a 486 PC running Windows 95. It also comes with software for ripping CDs and moving audio files. Preset equalizer settings include pop, classical, jazz, ex-bass, and flat.
