Pimsleur Basic Russian by Pimsleur (2005, Unabridged, Compact Disc)

This is a method I've heard of before, about how to learn a language. I was surprised that, if you stick to it, you actually learn stuff. I drive around 30 minutes to work, and the lessons are segmented in 30 mins. a piece, so I figure it would be perfect. It actually works, to have a time, a place and a structure, you actually learn a language. I've learned a lot, and maybe I won't be an expert at the end of the 10th lesson, but I figure to have a good understanding of this language and be able to have at least some kind of conversation. I was pleasantly surprised in how good its working, considering I never had a lesson of Russian before.

This product has increased my conversational proficiency in Russian to the point that Eastern Europeans think I have been speaking Russian most of my life.
Very good product for learning the basic and advanced pronunciation of the Russian language.

I've been wanting to learn Russian, and I can tell it will be easy to do with Pimsleur. The method of teaching truly is effective and useful.

I love it! It's quick paced, but understandable. Instead of countless translations, you hear native speakers, and in half an hour, you can already easily and fluently comprehend a conversation. By lesson three, i was actully talking to my russian friend! I LOVE ITT!!

I am so interesting to learn russian,thats why I bought this item. it teaches so clearly and I am happy with my purchase. But if this kink of items include a book or if it is DVD which can be seen by TV, it would be fantastic. any way it is appreciated. Thank You
