In this luscious baking book you'll find the best of the best. There are over 100 winning cookie and bar recipes from the 1st bake-off to the last one. The book is filled with lots of info, not only on the contest but each recipe comes with nutritional information including exchanges and carb choices as well as color photos. I found it interesting that they said the 1980's was the decade of decadence and a lot of desserts mimic this trend with European inspiration. In fact, four of the five grand prize winning recipes were cakes or tarts. You can get rid of all those little books from past bake-offs, since this has the cream of the crop inside.

I have a small collection of cookie cookbooks. I will enjoy baking some of the scrumptious recipes in this book and sharing the cookies with family and friends.

The large photographs are very nice, though if they had made them smaller they could have included photographs for more of the recipes. This is an attractive softcover cookbook. I do not know whether I would have paid the full retail price of $17.95, but I am very happy with the book and the lower price that I paid to the eBay seller.
