Who doesn't know the name of Pillsbury? To many it means that cute little dough boy, but to the people who have entered the Pillsbury bake-off and expect to win big prizes and recognition, it's a whole different kind of dough! This book covers some history from the first bake-off in 1949 to the late 1980's. It originally was to be a one time thing but the popularity put it into an every year category. It remains popular because it keeps pace with the ever changing needs and interest of the consumer. This book is great fun and the recipes from the early years have been up-dated for today's cook. I have tried many of them and some are continued favorites I make again and again, almost from memory.
