Piglet's Big Movie is Delightful and Sweet

Piglet feels like he doesn't have much to offer, being so small among his group of friends who always seem to be bigger, bolder, stronger, braver. He finds out that he plays a much bigger role in their lives than he could have even imagined, and we see the characters show sides of themselves that are usually not as evident. Lessons learned - it doesn't matter what you look like or how big or small you are - you have a special purpose in the lives of those around you. Being sensitive is ok, and showing your feelings is ok.
This is a big movie for a young child who could probably use the help of an adult to guide them through the feelings they have toward each of the characters as they search for Piglet. Delightful, sensitve, endearing and captivating - as a Grandmother, it is filled with teachable moments that can be conveyed through each of the characters. The movie does not move too fast, so a young child can follow it quite easily. There are no scary parts, but concern for the welfare of the missing Piglet can bother some children. Again, another opportunity to teach about not wandering off by themselves. Caring about other's feelings and safety stand out in this movie. Youngsters will love to watch this over and over again, beautifully animated, just the right mix of elements to enjoy and treasure this wonderful story of Piglet and his friends.
