Love the book. Be aware, though, it will NOT teach you how to play the piano. You need real practice and a real teacher to help you with the "real" thing.

I THINK ALL THE "FOR DUMMIES" BOOKS ARE PRETTY WELL DONE. THEY USE HUMOR TO HOLD YOUR ATTENTION. THIS BOOK IS ESPECIALLY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS I THINK. I'VE BEEN DOING THIS AWHILE BUT I ALSO READ SOME TIPS AND IDEAS I HADN'T THOUGHT OF OR HAD THOUGHT OF IN A DIFFERENT WAY. I'M ALWAYS LOOKING FOR GOOD IDEAS. THIS BOOK HAS SOME.

My daughter used to take piano lessons...they got costly...and she wasn't as dedicated as she should be for the $$ so I decided to buy this...for her to follow up and teach her self. She liked the book when I gave it to her...but she's not really done any thing with it yet as she is pretty consumed with school.

not that i am a dummie mind you , but i sure get this book !!! all kidding aside, the seller was great and kept me informed when she ran into a little problem with her husband stepping on the enclosed c.d. The packing and shipping was just perfect.i would buy from her again. and my piano playing is comming along !!!

I like the humor and the basic writing styleof the author. This is a very easy to follow instructional that anyone on most levels can follow. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to learn to play the piano, or read music. It doesn't help much with regard to music theory but that is not what this book boast at all.

book that can really help out those who doesn't know anything about music and how to read it. this book keeps the readers interested. i recommend this book just to understand the basic of music.
