Physics by Douglas C. Giancoli (2004, Hardcover)

After I put down my credit card number to purchase the textbook on May 29, 2007 from half.com sponsored by EBAY, I was emailed back from the Seller that he will ship out the order and I will expect the textbook to arrive between June 9 to June 19. But the book never arrived, now that it is July 6, 2007. I tried many times to contact the seller and EBAY but NO RESPONSE at all from Seller and EBAY. I filed a claim on EBAY about never received the product. Still no email back from EBAY and SELLER. I would never buy again on EBAY. Very Bad experience. I want my money back that I paid for the book that NEVER arrived.

I specifically wanted the hard cover edition of this book. Instead, I got the International Edition paperback. This seller did not mention anywhere that I was instead buying the International Edition, I specifically searched for the ISB# of the hardback version and bought this with the understanding that the hardcover was what I was buying. Enclosed with the book was a bogus letter about how the International version had the same content and there was a money back guarantee. Unfortunately, the book arrived close to three weeks after I ordered it, and I could not simply return it.

I purchased the book expecting its arrival within a week or two; yet it took so long that I was forced to purchase the book from a book store. When I finally received the book, I sent the seller an email telling him/her of the situation and requested a refund because of. I never received a response. I know that the seller had received my message because I had sent the seller an email regarding the purchase prior to the actual purchase and I had received a prompt response.

It is exactly one month ago that I ordered a book from this seller. I have NOT received the book. I have made attempts to contact the seller with NO results.
At this point now, I just want my money back.

I ordered the hardcover textbook but ended up getting a paperback one. Didn't like the book but had to get it since i had to catch up with my class.

I was surprised by the unadvertised fact that the book was an international edition (not a hardcover). more care should have been taken to mention this.

is there is a problem as to not receiving the book, like it happen to me you guys take for ever to process a complain or to take action and give the customer its money back. I'm still waiting after almost two month for a refund on a book i din not receive and so is my friend from school. the strage thing was that it was exactly the same book "physics". Amazon is much better. A little bit more expensive but, better than you guys.

I wished that I could tell you what i thought about the textbook since I never received it from the seller. In addition, after filing a claim the Half.com ebay customer service was incompetent and said I filed a claim for a book I never even purchased. This website is a real scam and don't trust it! Even the customer service reps from this website are incompetent and are making it difficult for you to receive a full refund for a purchase you never even received!

The book came extremely fast and was in perfect condition, just like the seller stipulated. Thank you so much for an easy transaction.

I bought the Physics (6th Ed.) by Giancoli (INTERNATIONAL EDITION) one week ago. I just received it today due to the fact it came all the way from Singapore! and yesterday was Labor Day. Considering all that the shipping was about 3 days! FAST. The book is in perfect condition and EXACTLY as described. I hate buying the big bulky "pretty" U.S. versions, and this one is great. Nice color photos, thick paper, but lighter and cheaper. I had a brand new one and returned it to my capitalist college bookstore to buy this one. Ken is great, courteous and very busy. But he handles the sales well and admitted there was a backorder on the book. However, he came through and pulled some strings to fulfill the orders for his customers! Good job and thanks!

Great item, just as described, fast shipping. The item was sealed and had no writing on it. It was a great buy, and the seller did a great job getting it to me quickly.

The book arrived in great condition just like it was described by the seller. It also arrived in a reasonable time frame.

The product was delivered quickly but was not hardcover like I was expecting. The book was what I needed though, and that's all I care about. I got what I wanted more or less on time.

This book is good because it has a lot of diagrams, answer to odd problems to see that you understand the material, and has some problems worked out for you.

I recieved the wrong book. It was supposed to be hardback-- which you advertised!!!! and i want my money back. I have contacted the seller 3 times and no response yet. What is the deal???

I was a little annoyed at the time it took for my book to actually arrive. I had ordered my book on Christmas day and was told that it was shipped 12/29/06. I did not receive my book until 1/19/07!!! And the worst part was that the postage stated that it was mailed out 1/5/07! Obviously, it was not shipped the day that I was told. Also, the description of the book was not exactly what it came as. I was told that there were two pages ripped out, but still with the book. I was not told that the book was actually torn into two pieces! Even though I don't feel that the service was that great, I must say that the person I bough from was very prompt in returning any emails that I had sent him. I am sure that there was just confusion and I am sure that he is a good person. I would probably still buy from him.

This is the 2nd item I have not received an item after paying for it through ebay. I will never use ebay again. I am still waiting on a reply about my claim I filed for not receiving my book. Ebay has done nothing to correct this problem. I will also be placing messages on myspace and facebook tell people about the problems I have had. I will all so post other web site that are Reliable, and dont screw over their customer. I think you need to try to find safe way for people to buy using ebay. All ebay is is a bounch of scam-artist that take peoples money. Good luck and I hope you get thing fixed, because you have a good idea, but you are full of thiefs.

I still have not received this product. I have contacted the seller with not responce. I have also filed a complaing with half.com and am still awating to hear back from them. This was one of my first purchases with half.com, and I doubt if I will ever do any more shopping on the site.

My daughter purchased this and 2 other books on this site and never recieved them. That was back in September and we are still trying to get her money back. Beware!!!

I bought a text book for about $60 and I never recieved it eventhough I was charged on my credit card. This is fraud!!

The textbook probably would have been a good book if i actually received it. It was sent august 31 and right now its october 4. i still don't have my textbook and i've already had a test in the class. Doesn't really matter how much less the textbook is if you don't have a textbook to study from. find another way to send textbooks other than through media mail.

Again, I haven't recieve this item. I ordered the book, not the CD. Ya'll just gave me the CD. I need the book also. So please mail the book to me. Thanks

I want it to purchase a book but instead when I received the parcel it had CD in it. I just hope seller just specify in title or somewhere it is easy to notice that this is not a book. It is just a CD. And there was no way I can return that CD to seller becuase it said "canceld the transaction in few hour if not there is no refund."
