The Gerber guide is the one of the most comprehensive comic book guides available. It is unique for two reasons: first, it provides a picture of each comic and second, it contains a scarcity index or Gerber number for each comic book listed. The guide is a comprehensive listing of most all golden age comics and contains pictures of many books that you can not find anywhere else. The scarcity guide is very helpful because it tells you how many copies of the issue e.g.(50-100) are in existence. The guide tells you how "rare" a book is and how much it is worth. If you collect golden age comic books or sell golden age comic books this journal is a must.
