The coffeemaker is plastic that looks like chrome not metal, thats my big flaw with it.

I bought this unit since I am the only coffee drinker at home and wanted something better than instant. This larger Senseo has a larger water tank and can make more cups without being refilled. Since I only use it on the weekends, I have to turn it off and unplug it to keep the water in the tank from boiling away. Otherwise, leaving it on wastes energy and requires you to reflush it before using it again. Since it heats up so quickly, this added time once a week is no big deal. Since I am used to a BIG MUG of coffee, the most that this unit puts out on a double cup is a bit short of my large mug. Clean-up for these units is quite simple. Just remember to remove the used pod(s) once you are done. The Douwe Egbert's coffee sold for this unit is quite pricey, especially the new cappucino (about 50 cents/small cup). I plan to try out other coffee pod makers to see if I can find something that tastes as good, but is cheaper. These pod units are a great alternative to the normal pot for just one or two drinkers. Plan to pay more per cup in exchange for the added convenience.

The convenience of fixing 1-2 cups of tea, at the touch of a button is wonderful! Our Senseo 'lives' in our downstairs craft / family area, next to basketful of Senseo choices so anyone can choose a mug, what they want to drink, and settle in with their drink in just a few minutes. Great purchase!

This is and excellent coffee maker. It is fast and has so far been very reliable. I purchased this on ebay after pricing this machine and ebay had the best deals. I am extrememly happy with this purchase. Anyone looking for a great one-cup coffee maker should not overlook the senseo or ebay.

I absolutely love my coffee maker. I use it every day at least once. I am the only coffee drinker in my home so it's very convenient. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I really enjoy the taste of the coffee, it's smooth and frothy. I would definately recommend it. I was a total Starbucks phene, since I bought my Senseo I have not been to Starbucks for coffee.It has saved me $$$.

I bought a Melitta which broke and a Black and Decker which leaked so bad my husband threw it out. We were pretty wary but decided to try this machine and we are so glad we did. It makes amazing cups of coffee and has been an all-around reliable machine since we've had it. We even invested it holderw for loose coffee and it is marvelous with my husband's designer blends. No leaking, no spilling, no watery coffee.It makes the coffee quick enough - i.e.the water heats fast enough - to make large cups of coffee for 2 people to enjoy coffee together.

Alternative pods for Senseo

The Senseo is incredible in terms of making a frothy, tasty coffee. I discovered Java Podz to use instead of Senseo's own brand and they are incredible. A wide variety and just a great flavor. I also purchased a Senseo Duck, which replaces the pod holder and allows you to use any coffee. It doesn't make a full mug of coffee no matter what, and the coffee isn't particularly frothy, but you definitely can use any coffee. I am still trying to find the right grind to use. But the Senseo itself is incomparable.

The Senseo Coffee Maker is truly a wonderful small appliance to have. I bought the first one for my office. We have an office coffee pot, but the coffee isn't great. This was small enough to fit in a limited amount of space and I liked the fact that I could make a cup at a time. No more old, stale coffee later in the morning! Using it is easy. I like the variety of coffee available in pods and I also bought a gadget separately that works in the Senseo so I can use my own coffee.... the best of both worlds. I was so impressed with the first Senseo that I bought a second one here on Ebay for my home. I also bought the larger water tank separately and that was great to have when I had weekend visitors. The only thing I've found I have to watch for is a clogged "duck" hole. The place the water is forced through under pressure is very small and can get clogged, resulting in water running down the top of the "duck" (the holder for the coffee pod). This is an easy fix and if you blow it out after using it each day, the problem is solved. I highly recommend the Senseo!

I purchased this coffee maker for my parents for Christmas. They absolutely love it. They said it is perfect for just the two of them. Although it only makes a 4 oz. serving on the one cup option, it is just as easy to select two cup option (8oz.) and use a large mug rather than a small coffee cup. They liked it so much that I have considered purchasing one for myself.

My son got a senseo and everyone in the family just loves it!
The best features are the fast heating system, super fast clean up and
each person in the family or at the office can have anything from
vanilla flavored coffee and then the next person can have a strong cup of dark roast in a matter of minutes. There is no left over taste from the previous user's flavored coffee. (In a normal coffee pot it may take weeks to get rid flavored coffee residue)
I had bought my husband a different brand for his office,I have now purchased our second senseo to replace the original as it does not make the coffee as fast or as flavorful as the senseo!
I give this a super rating-easy to use, affordable pods and
easy to find pods-target, walmart or most super markets.

) I looked on the net to find the best price for this coffee maker. I found that I could buy this item for $139.95 Plus tax W/ free shipping. (Poor rating means poor price not a poor machine). Short story, clear but true I now have this machine and have been a Fan since 2001 when I brought my first. If this is your 1st time then I would say "You will not be dissapointed".

This is my second senseo machine. My first lasted 6 years with no problems and when it broke it was the plastic hinge piece where you close the top over the coffee pod. (The only place that is stressed on the whole machine.) This new upgraded model is awesome... the part that broke on my last one is made so much better on the upgraded model I am sure this one will last just as long.
I like the screen on this one and like the chrome color. This one takes up less counter space than my old one but holds more water. The coffee is great... just the way I like.. foamy and rich. The only thing I found with the new machine is you really have to flush it a few times before that factory plastic taste disappears. After that was done all has be wonderful!

senseo coffeemaker Model 7832
) Already have one. Took to cabin and now have the one from Ebay at home. Use everyday as we are one cup people. My husband likes this one as one can make more coffee in cup. Also has tea and espresso pod holders, I use both, a little warm out to use now.

Philips Senseo HD7832 coffee makerI love Senseo coffee makers - every cup is fresh when you want it. However, this particular coffee maker did not work. The boiler was not heating the water at all. Am hoping this was an isolated incident as really want a HD7832.

Love this coffee makerWhen I visited France the locals used this coffee maker. The coffee was wonderful. Each cup comes out like gourmet coffee. I have purchased it as gifts for several friends. It makes just the right amount for 1 or 2 people.
