Philips Senseo HD-7890-65 Coffee Maker

I absolutely love this coffee maker! It makes a cup of coffee that is in my opinion better than what you can buy at your local "better known" coffee house. Another important reason to love this machine is that it is so much cheaper to own and make coffee at home than it is to buy name brand coffehouse coffee. You might also consider that the drive to the coffee house costs as well. The love of a great cup of coffee and the desire to cut back on spending are the main reasons for my buying this coffee maker. I am sure that you, the reader of this review, are understanding what I'm saying in regards to looking for a bargain in today's challenging economy.

Facts and Figures: Ok, here's the proof. At $75 purchase price this machine will pay for itself, if you forego your $5/day cup of coffee, in 15 days. That's right, in essentially 2 weeks and you will have paid for the coffee maker in saved spending on coffeehouse coffee. In a year, at the same rate, you will have saved nearly $1700. in cash by not purchasing at the coffeehouses.(this includes the cost of the pods used in this machine)

The pods for this machine are relatively inexpensive. Ebay sellers have some great deals on these! They average about $.35 each. That's quite a big difference from that coffeehouse coffee price, isn't it?

So, I encourage you to give Senseo Coffeemaker a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

The Senseo coffee maker is easy to use and makes a great cup of coffee.I purchased one for home then purchased a second for our cabin because we just couldn't be with out it. A regular coffee maker just doesn't compare to the Senseo coffee maker.

Excellent, excellent, excellent people to buy from. Originally got wrong color but they immediately took care of it, I got the right color, they paid to have the other sent back--and all with amazing courtesy and helpfulness!

The Senseo is a great coffee maker if you only need a single cup and is very quick. For a large mug, I use 1 coffee pod, press the "2 cup" button followed by "1 cup" to make one large cup of coffee. When brewed this way, my coffee is still medium strength (I don't like mine too strong). The pods are pretty expensive in the grocery store, and both Senseo and Folger brands run about the same price. But I do find them on sale quite often and stock up. You won't be sorry buying this coffee maker.

This coffee maker is fantastic! I enjoy coffee on a daily basis and usually brew my own in an auto-drip coffee maker, while other times I use a "french press". I've owned this coffee maker for a week or so and I have used it every day since I had the first cup!

The Senseo pods are easy to find in the grocery store and there are many different flavors to choose from. Of course, the cost per cup is more than the traditional "cans" of coffee, but much cheaper than compared to a fancy coffee shop. In fact, the 18-pack Senseo pods cost about the same as a fancy-schmancy latte'.

The Senseo Coffee Maker is easy to clean and takes up as much room as a normal automatic coffee maker. The initial set-up was a little difficult due to the vague instructions, but has been a breeze to use since the set-up.

My uncle has a different brand of coffee maker which uses the same type of "coffee pods" and he always has difficulty locating that particular brand in the stores. There is no difference in the quality of coffee produced from the two machines and I was able to get a brand-new "Senseo" for about $100 less than my uncle's.

I am very pleased with this coffee maker and will recommend it to all of my friends. They would make an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys a great cup of coffee!

I like my coffee strong, my husband likes his coffee mild, my son likes his coffee flavored. This is the one coffee maker that keeps us all happy. Not to mention it only takes 30 seconds to make a cup of coffee after the initial warm up time of 30 seconds. I highly recommend those of you who complained that it still makes the coffee too strong or it is not hot enough. Read your instructions. I can make a cup of coffee that pleases my taste for the strong coffe and yet my husband loves his mild coffee. Press the on button and let it stand for about 10 minutes then make your coffee it makes it hotter. I like to turn it on when I first get up then take a shower and come back to make my coffee. The maker stays on for up to 60 minutes. The pods are easy to remove and they don't make a mess. I hated filling up a regular coffee maker with water and coffee. It made such a mess. Everyone should try this once.

this item was impproperly packed. was recieved in a broken state. no response from seller after i atttempted to contact. will not comsider buying from them again

I love Douwe Egberts coffee and the Senseo makes it very easy to enjoy an excellent cup. Yes, it's more expensive than Folgers, but cheaper than going to Starbucks (and I can stay in my robe!).

My husband and I got a senseo for ourselves. We loved it so much we decided to get one for my in-laws. I love the fact that you never feel like you are wasting a whole pot of coffee because you get to make one cup at a time. Also I love how many different flavors you can try. This made a wonder gift for my in-laws. I would highly recommend this product. It was an awesome deal as well.

I really like the maker as I can make a single cup at a time. Love the coffee, just not enough pods with it, but i discovered Folgers makes a pod that is just a fit.
