I purchased this item for an older persons use and I am very pleased with it. It is simple and easy to use and small enough to slip in your pocket. It holds plenty of music for a "seniors" use as well as some of those favorite photos, and its affordable. This is the second one of this brand we have purchased and we are very pleased with them.
I bought the Philips SA5125/37 (2 GB)Digital media Player a few weeks ago for my daughter. The player has a large display--1.8" and a lot of cool features. I downloaded pictures and songs right away. I viewed them on the screen with an amazing clarity and resolution. The sound is very clear. The Philips player came with two programs--Media Converter and Device Manager and can be charged via USB. I am very happy with this product!
This MP3 is one of the better MP3's i've seen in a while. I definitely recomend it for people who like simple easy to use gadgets. It has all of the features that any one could want or need in an MP3. I purchased this item because Phillips makes items that can beat around a bit and not break. I am not saying that you should use it like it was military grade. But it can be dropped or accidentaly sat on and it wont die like many other out there. Plus the hard plastic case seems to hold up very well in the cold and heat.
I highly recomend this item for someone who is notoriously rough on their gadgets.
I recently bought a Phillips 2Gb MP3 Player I have been looking on ebay for this one cause my brother has one and it is the best for your money. so i finally found one on eBay, it was refurbished so i was kind of leary but i went ahead and bought it anyway. good move it has a 90 day warrenty from the manufacurer. and it works perfect. I love it and now i can smeark at my brother cause i got it half the price he did. Thanks
I Wanted a unit that allowed for better storage and retrieval. This MP3 player answers the call. Great little device with great interface. I like the software included to load music and video.

Pros: size, ease of use, sound
Cons: battery life, shuffle doesn't work!
I'm starting to wonder if Philips can make good MP3 players or if I'm just having really bad luck with the two I've purchased. I recently purchased the Philips SA5125/37 because my other Philips MP3 player decided to die on me. I purchased this because of the price and the look, but it also wasn't an HDD model which I had read on here a lot of people had issues with. Me being one of them. I really don't like the fact that I don't have a DC adapter with it, but it's not that big of an inconvenience. It's easy in my opinion to transfer files over from Windows to the device. My one issue with...
