Philips GoGear HDD1830 (8 GB) MP3 Player

Well, it's a really nice MP3 player. It looks nice, holds 2000 songs, photos, you can record yur voice, and as well high quality from right off the radio, and other various things. It's an amszing MP3 player, really. It comes with two plugins. One to chrage and sync from your computer, and another to chrage straight from an outlet in the wall. It has so many features that I have yet to find out about, and so many I will probably want to use!
The only big problem is that when you are Synchronizing tracks to this MP3, some don't exactly get all the info right. I have to look through different artists just to find one song I was looking for by another. Also it may sync the same song again, and the pictures most of the time will not show up at all. It also has a sense of humor. I put a song on there entitled 'Dead!' and all of the remaining track time it played nothing bur pure silence. I'm still laughing about it, but not too happy about it. You also cannot delete songs off the MP3 itself, you must do it manually from the computer. Also the Phillips GoGear may not pause when you press the button to pause your music, and sometimes even a tiny run across may switch songs. It has many things I am dislike about it, but they're just minor details. Overall it is a solid MP3 player that you will just love to carry around, and you won't care if someone says 'It' not thin'. Sure, it's no iPOD, but it sure keeps you satisfied. You will always want to keep this MP3. It may throw you off and have you completely mortified, but it's an MP3 player. All of it's bugs and errors and anger problems you will learn to love and forgive in time. It has so many features that will probably take you months to run through them all. It's features go perfectly with Windows Media Player, and has so many features to use through there it's virtually interactive. I guess. But I love it. You will love it do death, even though it may scream and shout and nag, but you'll always forgive it. Always. I am perfectly staisfied with it, and that's final.

P.S It picks up fingerprints like flies to butter, but I don't mind. Most of the time...

This model appears to have had bad firm wear or faulty hardware from the start. Always had to nurse it along when synch-ing, and then it finally locked up completely after about 2 years of use. Every Philips product I ever bought had a very short life - never again.

i used this product for two weeks and after that it got corrupted and i had to throw it away. most of the pc's dont even recognize this product.

I have 3 mp3 players and this one is my favorite. Great screen and control pad. It is the easiest to sync with Windows Media Player. I didn't even need the install disc, cause WMP recognized the player right away. Very lightwieght and small in size. This beats my iRiver and my Creative Zen for me.

Hello 68flyzone's daughter speaking. Awhile ago i bought a philips gogear and i loved it! i had it for at least a year and a half and it only froze up on me once. You can scroll through lots of songs really fast! It is soooo cool how it lights up! That is somthing i will miss about it. I was pretty stunned at the recording quality. That was somthing that is fun and you can use alot. The picture quality was better than i thought for this thing. Sadly it disapered,( so i did a major upgrade to a 60gb ipod video:P) maby it was so cool somebody stole it haha j/k. Anyways folks, what im trying to get at here is that its a great little mp3 player. Great quality and price. well worth buying.

Only one problem. The outlet charger doesn't work. I can only use the USB port. Other than that the product works fine.

The price was awesome, and the delivery came really fast, but the mp3 player freezes just about every day, and doesnt correct itself until the battery dies, and i have to restart it. the service from the seller was good, but the product is seriously lacking.
