Philips DVP5990 DVD Player is one of the best DVD Player. It can play all type of DVDs, CDs for all regions with very good picture. I had a Philips DVP5982 DVD Player. It was good one, but DVP5990 is better.

It's pretty simple. Great DVD upscaling player. Works beautifully with my Sony W series 46" LCD. Plays all regions, easy to use, and not a simgle problem. The size is a bit big but very flat.

Philips players have always been my favorite. They play almost everything including files on USB flash or external hard drives. This player has upgraded the USB port to USB 2 (faster throughput). This player is the best I have seen.

I was expecting a remote control with the DVD player, It did not say it came with one but it didn't say it didn't have one either. But its a great DVD player works great.

One of the best features of this player is the USB 2.0 port which allows
you to play back pictures and videos using a portable jump drive.

I purchased my DVD player because of the price and versatilty of the unit. Al-though I've only watched 2 movies it seems to function just fine. Also Phillips
has been around for a long time which gave me extra confidence in my selection.
