I owned this Plasma TV for 18 months before the screen failed. Fortunately, the screen came with a 2-year stock warranty. I was told, however, that the repair would necessitate a new power supply, as the one installed in the set would not be compatible with the replacement screen.
Then my authorized service center had to get its credit rating with Philips increased. This took weeks. Then months. Finally the service center representative suggested I try to get at last a partial refund from Philips. Over two months after the set failed, I received a prorated refund from Philips.
I now own a 42" DLP RPTV - and I'm much happier. Our family slogan is now "Just say NO to Plasma."
