NOT SO HOT
1) The actual screen size (using tape measurer) is 16" x 12" hardly 20" LCD!
2) AD is very misleading; one of the 'stock' images is not even the same TV!
If you see a picture that shows a wide format TV with silver speakers on the sides, it’s not this unit!
The actual image is the one that’s turned to the side and appears to look like it’s a wide screen TV, I assure you its not.
So basically you get a crappy little 16"x 12" viewable image (actually looks completely square) with very, very poor image quality. more...
These are all refurbished with a 90 day mfg. warranty- the eBay ad stated it had a 1yr warranty.
Remote is shipped with no battery; no problem except it takes a CR2025
Picture is very poor, 640 x 480. Manual says 800x600 either way it’s not good. It looks like a first generation LCD panel. Not even close to the resolution of most computer monitors. Tuner is lousy, picks up noise and has lots of static. Again this is a 4:3 format- not wide screen, in an artificial 16:9 the screen is only about nine inches tall.
DVD playback using RGB inputs (the best) this monitor really shows its short comings. Very pixilated, colors and shading look digitized, not natural & it has a real problem with skin. Skin looks like an artificial glary mess.
Is it worth $250? For me no. This would be a ok $99 TV for the garage.
