Philips 20PF5120/01 20 in. EDTV-Ready LCD Television

This was the worst purchase I ever made on ebay. This has been the worst experience I have ever had an ebay and I have 150 purchases. I won the auction and paid through pay pal a month ago and the seller still hasn't shipped the item. I'm so disappointed I almost don't want to use ebay anymore. This guy ( the seller ) is just ripping me off. He doesn't answer any emails and has lied to me several times already. I filed a claim with ebay and no one has responded. I elevated it with pay pal and pay pal hasn't gotten back to me. I don't know what to do. This guy has just taken my money and ebay isn't doing anything about it.
I spent alot of time researching this tv and more time bidding on it just to get robbed. Buyers beware

I did quite a bit of research on 20-23" LCD TV's and found this to be one of teh best values available. It was easy to set up also. The only problem I have is with Philips. We have dish network, and our dish network remote controls don't seem to work very well with Philips' TV's.

I rate this unit poor because it arrived broken, out of the box. I did call philips and they are replacing it, but it is an inconvienence when a brand new device will not work right out of the box.

I have purchased 3 items from this seller and always received exactly what I bought. This TV/Monitor came in a timely manner, but the remote was broken. I called Phillips and they NEXT DAYED it to me. Was able to set it up without the remote and all worked great. I had purchased a VGA to DVI 10' cable and hooked it up to my desktop. Wow really crisp and clear. No glassed needed for me. Also while I am backing up data remotely, I am still able to watch favorite shows. A perfect size unit for a desk. I have nothing but praise for this seller.

I would definitely recommend buying this TV. Excellent price and shipping was quick (5 days). This TV was as advertised and works great. Don't let those who gave negative feed back distract you from purchasing and miss out on a great deal. One reviewer said it's only a 16" TV, but you measure a TV from the top left corner to the bottom right corner, not from side to side. I would definitely purchase again and have added them to my favorites. Get this TV while you still can!
Oh yeah, no battery for remote, but you can pick that up at any supermarket or Walmart.

words to describe this FlatPanel, YO! the price the Quality - I pluged A XbOx 360 on this compact cheap looking LCD screen and saw a freakin work of art MAN!!!!! this was suppose to be gift and I kept it, I bought two more MAN!!!! check my FEEDBACK if you think I am lying. thats all I have to say.............

RECEIVED IN A TIMELY MANNER AND IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. GOOD RECEPTION. ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THE REMOTE BATTERY WAS NOT IN THE PACKAGING AND THE SERVICE CENTER I WAS REFERRED TO WAS LESS THAN CORDIAL, SO, I JUST BOUGHT ONE AT WALMART.

Dude...its asking you what you think about the Philips 20 in. HDTV not what your experience was with the ebay seller. Horrible.

I purchased the Philips 20PF5120 TV, and I've been extremely satisfied with it. It has nice sound and a good picture. I purchased it to go in my living room to replace a much bigger TV, my living room is not huge and the new TV fits better in it. Would definetely consider buying another one for the guest room.

There appears to be tons of these refurbs on the market. It appears those that sell the refurbs do not test them before being sent out. They honor the returns, but gess what- you get stuck for the freight back. The quality of this Phillips did not meet my expectations. I should have purchased locally and new for the difference in price.

This TV is nice, it has almost all the hookups you need.
Regular cable does look a bit... regular but that just may be because I have split the signal to another TV(a flat screen LCD) DVDs look just as great from a regular dvd player on this and my flat screen TV but now I can tell even better what is CGI and what is real. I thought that 20" would be too small but the clarity leaves that thought behind.
My biggest problem is with the remote control and menu functions, they're clumsy, inconvenient, incomplete.

Nutshell: If you've liked the picture on an LCD flat screen, this is not THAAAAaaat much better.

Pros:
+Great picture with unsplit cable connection
+Can change picture format with one button
+Change Color format with one button
+Good sound**
+Change sound format with one button
+Looks good even when off
+PIP when using as PC monitor-to-TV**
+Smooth Sleek remote
+Some nice remote functions


Cons for TV:
-May need color adjustments
-Clock...? Where's the clock?
-TV Menus are awkward and incomplete
-Not HDTV... is EDTV...
-No composite(RCA) audio output
-Must use headphone jack for any type of surround and then the tv speakers are disabled.



Cons for Remote:
-Surf feature on remote??? It's a menu. I just as well enter the channels myself.
-I would rather the input/source select to cycle the input channels than a menu.
-Button placement is a bit awkward.
-User manual Describes functions that this unit doesn't have(Sleep/Wakeup)
-PIP on remote is only for if using as PC monitor

Despite the cons, I would still get this unit for what it does do and for the price.

I WAS SO GLAD THAT THE PICTURE IS AS SHARP AS IT IS. I WAS NERVOUS TO GET IT OFF THE COMPUTER IT WAS A GIFT FOR FATHERS DAY ANF MY HUSBAND LOVE IT. LET ME TELL YOU HE IS FUSSIER, AND TO TOP IT OFF IT WAS RECONDITION. ALL I CAN SAY HE IS THRILL. THANK KATHY

This television has a great picture and sound. The best part is, no separate mounting bracket is necessary if you want to mount it on the wall. The table stand doubles as a wall mount. Potential buyers might think 20" is kind of small but for some reason, the picture looks much larger. Overall, a great addition to our new home at a fabulous price.

I bought from this ebayer before, my second purchase, nothing but good to say about this purchase. Price is right, description is exact, shipping if FAST !!
Communication is great, would buy again in a minute !

I love the picture clarity. Screen seems larger than the normal 20". No glare from external lightning. Love the portability , light wt., space used. It is great. Price was a mayor incentive to purchase.

We bought it for our front office at work. It was a good size for a good price and we love the picture.

I have been using the TV for about 1 moth, everthing work realy fine, color are really good. I have not had any problems with this TV.
