This was my first go at a flat panel televsion set and I should have bought a 20" or larger and spent the extra cash. This TV was almost 380 bucks in early 2006 at a MAJOR electronics chain. The television is nice and the picture quality is pretty good with regular cable service. One thing I have a beef with is the sound quality from the built in speakers. It varies from channel to channel, and I really need to get some external speakers for it. The channels lag a second or so when you flip through them, so for a true channel surfer like myself, that is a negative. The remote is small and has some button arrangement issues if you ask me, as I hate to look at it when I am searching for something. Overall this is a nice televsion, but I should have spent a few extra bucks for a larger one. The one thing I wanted in my new televsion was the ablility to put it under my arm the next time I moved. No more bear hugging the tv set when you move it. This is the set for that!! Great for a dorm room or small apartment. I guess it also doubles as a computer monitor. I have it placed in in a small den where it can be viewed from a nearby chair and it's perfect for that location. Small profile with very nice picture and sound. Great value for the price. I filed a claim with Paypal for non-receipt, but since I received the TV that claim is no longer "good" (whatever that means). I filed a claim with Ebay like 3 weeks ago and nothing has happen yet. I love the size and features of this Tv, you have options with the screen ratio which is good and you have different options for sound as well, which also make a great impact on your viewing. I love how the stand is attached to the Tv that way you can sit it up somewhere or turn it backwards and hang it on the wall. The wiring system is great,easy and it is clean looking since the panel at the back hides all of them so your tv doesnt look likle a monsterous mess. Its remote control is great as well. There is a variety of options you have, such as sleep, pc, s-video, Av, HDTV, and regular channel viewing. All in all great screen great sound. :) I do however have some issues, when i recieved the Tv it said it comes with the batteries with the remote but it didnt, and the stand can only turn/bend so much farther backwards, if only this Tv had some rotation feature so that when ur lower on the ground you can view it better as this issue is related to my next complaints or issue. The second problem id say i have encountered is the screen angles when im sitting down low on the ground and the tv is farther up off the ground it is extremely hard for me to see anything on the screen unless i somehow shove things underneath it to make it tilt, which always worries me that it may loose balance and fall off. Again if it has a rotation system where you could tilt its head a bit more further down towards the front or backwards people would have more options to work with. The tv has a nice picture, the stand can be mounted to the wall or set on a table or shelf. There is a 3 month warranty and optional extended, It was difficult to tell if the extended warranty would be worth while as I think an extended 1 year was over 20 dollars so the diff - shipping and handling does not seem like such a great deal. I boughtt he product because I am deploying to Iraq but due to the delay and the wrong shipping I will no longer get to take it to Iraq. I bought this particular LCD 15" TV because of the size and picture quality and price. I seen the same TV in a store and was impressed with the quality of the picture. Because of the thin size, I was able to put this TV on a book shelve in my study. It looks very nice and works perfectly. My only dislike is that the channel number that is displayed on the screen when you change the channel is very small. It's hard to see the number from a distance. Overall I am very happy with the TV. This product was refurbished which should have been enough reason to avoid buying it, but i was seduced by its cheap price, which convinced me it was a good deal. The manufacturers did a lousy job of "renewing" it as there is a deep line/blur across a large portion of the screen which really reduces image quality - i would say it's worth paying more in the long run for a non-refurbished product. even with the "90 day warranty" after you factor in shipping costs and waiting time (for the turnaround), and the fact that eventually all you'll get is another refurbished product it simply is not worth it. I bought this particular model because it was reasonably priced. First LCD I have owned and it has a far superior picture than old CRT screens. I bought a refurbished model because it was cheaper and, frankly, refurbished models are inspected more closely during refurbishment than "new in box" models.
