Review of Merleau-Ponty's Phen. of Perc.
In what many philosophers consider to be his magnum opus, Merleau-Ponty elegantly, but sometimes confusingly, continues his life work in a vigorous phenomenological investigation that raised the importance of the body to the same level as the mind. Finally, after many centuries of curiosity and searching, Merleau-Ponty provides quite an argument that effectively destroyed the separation between the mind and body, towards which Descartes dedicated his life. Although complicated and sometimes downright confusing, everyone whose interest lies with philosophy should be able to find this book on his or her shelf.
