Pete's Meteor (DVD, 2003)

I was really looking forward to watching this film because I wanted to see Mike Myers in a dramatic role. He did a good job. I believe he was miscasted a bit because he was "too nice" and innocent looking for the role. I read previous reviews on this movie, and expected it to be really bad. It turned out to be better than expected, but I could not rate it as "average" or above because it did not reach its fullest potential. It was a nice looking film and good music score. The acting was good. There was something missing...maybe the characters were not well developed or the characters were taking themselves so seriously. There were humorous situations that could have been emphasized. I watched the movie once, and had the Spanish subtitles on. I took Spanish, but it would be nicer if there was an English subtitle too. The accents were too deep to understand at times, so it is needed.
