Peter Pan (DVD, 2007)

This movie is excellent!! Is like wathing the real thing, I feel on the theater when watching it on our home theater system. Thanks a lot, it's pure magic. AWESOME!!

Cathy Rigby performs the part of peter pan with such perfect boyishness and spot-on emotion that she truly seems like a 10-year old Peter Pan. Hook is Perfect, as is the entire cast, except little Michael who is ugly and annoying. But Michael is but an extremely minor flaw on the face of this extraordinary production of which Barrie himself would have been proud.

It is much easier to buy DVDs on line, especially when they are not current. No sense looking for the musical Peter Pan in a store.

This is actually a repurchase. The grandkids lost their copy and had to have a replacement of their favorite DVD. The sing and dance along with Kathy and all the characters. I really bought 2 copies. One for my home and one for theirs. I can't tell you how much they love Peter Pan. I think the "I gotta crow" is their favorite.

My daughter was auditioning and wanted to watch the show. We received the movie timely and it was perfect.

This is my favorite childhood story. I was fortunate enough to see the live play with Cathy Rigby and owning this DVD is a treasured memory of that classic tale and I can relieve attending the play each time I watch Cathy Rigby dazzle the stage with her gymnastic ability. Excellent!

This production is so well done and wonderful for children who like singing, dancing, and the adventure of Peter Pan. It is fun for all to watch. The only single down thing about it is that Tinkerbell tells Peter Pan that Wendy is a silly "donkey" using the three letter word "ass". My kids don't even notice this as being anything other than the animal, so it doesn't matter to us.

Wow, who knew Cathy Rigby could sing? A wonderfully done theatrical production. A bit more "violence" in that there's sword fights & "stabbings" between Pan & Hook, but no blood & you'd hardly know they were really hurt, so it's not really upsetting to kids I don't think. (I have a 3 & 5 and they love this and the Mary Martin version as well). Great costumes, great flying, great singing. Only negative is that there is a line where Tinkerbell apparently calls Wendy "a silly ass". THankfully, you can't really understand Cathy Rigby when she tells Wendy waht Tinerbell said. My kids haven't caught on; nor do they know what an "ass" is. That's really my only disappointment with the play. Outside fo this, it's great.

When our copy of this movie on VHS finally "died", I knew I had to purchase it on DVD. My family loves this movie, Cathy Rigby is fantastic and it truly is a spectacular taping of the Broadway musical!
