Peter Pan (DVD, 2002, Special Edition)

Over the past ten years I have slowly watched this unprecedented influx of unauthorized Disney products mainly out of print and vaulted Disney dvds.
This has happened because of the large amount of money that can be made on the fakes. I receive emails everyday trying to sell me cheap Disney imports for between $4.25 and $5.85 a copy. When they will bring upwards of $40.00 to $100.00 when represented as authentic. You can clearly see where the trouble starts.
I would like to attempt to help you spot a fake Disney dvd and advise you to report all the items you buy on ebay to PayPal and Ebay regardless of the negative retaliatory feedback or threats you receive from these kind of sellers.
PayPal and Ebay move slowly on these matters but I can assure you they do not want these kind of sellers on their sites and will take steps to remove them.
Things to look for
No Buena Vista stamp on the back of the dvd. Please note if the dvd was bought through a major retail outlet Sears, Wallmart, BestBuy and so forth this stamp may not be on it. However it will have security seals.
The weight of a 2-disc copy will be almost 4 ounces less than an authentic 2-disc Disney dvd.
Cheap cardboard slip covers.
How long has this seller been on Ebay?
Does this seller have over 500 positive feedbacks on Disney products?
Are they selling a dvd for much less than a reliable Disney seller.
No inserts inside dvd case.
Seller with a large number of this rare dvd.
These are a few things you can look for on Disney dvds.
With that said I can tell you that the majority of all Disney dvd buyers do not know the difference between a fake and a real Disney dvd.
The fact that you have a 100% lifetime replacement guarantee on authentic Disney dvds direct from Disney is more than enough reason to invest in authentic instead of cheap copies.
There are many honest Disney sellers on Ebay and the quickest way to find them is run a search on whatever Disney dvd you are looking for and then go to highest price buy it now. They are all within the top 10 of that list.

This product arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was in the exact condition as promised. My family has already enjoyed this video many times.

My grandson loves Peter Pan and this was an original which he wanted. Great DVD! The sound and pictures are fabulous and the movie takes me back to when I was a youngster. My grandson thought it was very funny!

I like the way that Disney put this movie onto a dvd without losing the quality of the picture. Its a movie I watched as a kid and my kids love it.

The DVD arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Can't complain as it was free shipping. I think I paid too much for the item (which was my fault for not checking Amazon first) as I could have gotten a brand new copy (this one was used) for less than I paid for a used copy.

This classic film is timeless and fun no matter how many times you've seen it...The cast and story are exciting and fresh even if you've seen the film over 100 times, as I have...The is a Must Have DVD for anyone’s collection!!!

I have not recieved the item and I have emailed seller 3 times and have got no response. I am very unhappy with this purchase...It's been like wasted money and I decided to buy this item for my kids disney collection, but instead I recieved nothing. I would warn others not to buy from this seller.....

This movie is a classic. Truly. What's NOT to love? But, do beware. I ended up with a deal too good to be true. (Bootleg copy.) The cover art/insert and disc sticker practically screamed "cheap imitiation." Ask your ebay seller for an actual photograph of the product and/or ask point-blank if it is an original. If they lie, you can report them to ebay for fraud, but save your email response!!

I love the movie Peter Pan. I bought it for my 4 month old daughter. First of all I ordered the Special Edition but when it came, not only was it not Special Edition, it didn't have a case. The DVD was put in a plastic sleeve. The cover of the DVD looked as if it had been done on a computer. I could have done better myself! As if that isn't bad enough, there are parts missing from the movie. All in all it was the worst purchase I ever made on eBay. I have to buy a new one now and my money was wasted.

Peter Pan is one of the few Disney movies we don't own. We love it and I thought I would finally buy a copy for my son as a gift. Since we've seen it several times, I know we would love the DVD if we had ever received it!

I purchased the DVD as a "buy it now", paid for it immediately thru paypal, upon notification of purchase. But 27 days after purchase still hadn't received the product. I contacted the seller 7 times via email, and called and left a voice mail once to inquire about the status of my order. I asked to obtain a tracking number, anything to give me a clue where it was or when it was coming. I received the same response every time (like an automatic email response with the same verbage)... which was basically "to wait". I finally had to call my credit card company and have them reverse the charge. It was a pain and I was very disappointed (especially since I bought the movie as part of a gift for my son and then had to purchase an alternative).

I did get some varied response after I left negative feedback. I feel the feedback portion of ebay is the most vital tool we have as purchasers or sellers. The seller wrote me asking me to withdraw my negative feedback and said that upon my withdrawal that they would then give me a refund! I had already had the charged removed, so I wasn't looking for a refund by that time, but the principal behind the fact that the seller didn't want to give me a refund unless I removed my negative feedback speaks volumes as to what type of "ebayer" this vendor is.

I would not recommend that anyone purchase from this seller, I feel it is a bit of a scam and it is vendors like that which can give a negative connotation to buying things off of ebay.

I bought it because it was cheaper to buy through ebay than to buy at a store. That was nice. I didn't like it becuase it was not an original DVD and it was made in several different languages. It looked like it was Burnt in a foreign Country and sold cheap to make them money. It also took a very long time to receive it.

With the influx of Tinker Bell movies I can not believe that this one is still in the vault! So glad to find a copy on ebay.

My son loves this movie. We lost our other copy and this one is great! It shipped right away and got to us just in time. It is in great condition with a hard cover case.

When I was a kid who didn't like Peter Pan! I brought this movie to share the experience I felt when I was a kid. My kids loved it and sang along with the music.

I starter disney 1973 when it develop at orlando, Florida at that time we were few couples who would work weekly and every weekend we run to disney my first child was born on1967so we realy enjoy everey thing up in the park and the kid groutwits all this in so and getting this collection for the new one the are comein the granson peter pan, mickey mouse, donald doc and thehold clan,alice in wonderland ,small word.

I just love this movie for my three year old daughter. It makes me so happy to see the joy in her eyes when I put it on. Her face just lights up when Tinkerbell comes into the Nursery. Granted some people may think this is a little violent but I think it's no worse than what's on T.V. or in the movies these days. (I had put Kung Fu Panda on for her and she was so scared I turned it off) It's just a good clean movie full of timeless characters and wonderful life lessons.

I feel everyone, young and old, should see Peter Pan so I ordered the Peter Pan DVD for my young grandson, who has never seen a Peter Pan movie. He and his sister were so engrossed in the entire movie, they hardly moved a muscle. And I have to say, it's been years since I saw this movie, but the English accent of the father, especially, was delightful, the animation and quality of color were also wonderful. The price was perfect, the movie was perfect!

peter pan is my favorite disney movie of all time so i jumped at the chance to purchase this movie at such a great value. i personally like the cover better for the 2002 edition of the peter pan dvd so i was glad to win that version instead of the newer peter pan that was released in i believe 2007. i have not received it in the mail but im sure that it will be in excellent condition when i do because the seller had very positive feedback.

Great family movie!!! The kids love it. Just a very clean, classic, Disney movie for the kids and the entire family.
