Over the past ten years I have slowly watched this unprecedented influx of unauthorized Disney products mainly out of print and vaulted Disney dvds.
This has happened because of the large amount of money that can be made on the fakes. I receive emails everyday trying to sell me cheap Disney imports for between $4.25 and $5.85 a copy. When they will bring upwards of $40.00 to $100.00 when represented as authentic. You can clearly see where the trouble starts.
I would like to attempt to help you spot a fake Disney dvd and advise you to report all the items you buy on ebay to PayPal and Ebay regardless of the negative retaliatory feedback or threats you receive from these kind of sellers.
PayPal and Ebay move slowly on these matters but I can assure you they do not want these kind of sellers on their sites and will take steps to remove them.
Things to look for
No Buena Vista stamp on the back of the dvd. Please note if the dvd was bought through a major retail outlet Sears, Wallmart, BestBuy and so forth this stamp may not be on it. However it will have security seals.
The weight of a 2-disc copy will be almost 4 ounces less than an authentic 2-disc Disney dvd.
Cheap cardboard slip covers.
How long has this seller been on Ebay?
Does this seller have over 500 positive feedbacks on Disney products?
Are they selling a dvd for much less than a reliable Disney seller.
No inserts inside dvd case.
Seller with a large number of this rare dvd.
These are a few things you can look for on Disney dvds.
With that said I can tell you that the majority of all Disney dvd buyers do not know the difference between a fake and a real Disney dvd.
The fact that you have a 100% lifetime replacement guarantee on authentic Disney dvds direct from Disney is more than enough reason to invest in authentic instead of cheap copies.
There are many honest Disney sellers on Ebay and the quickest way to find them is run a search on whatever Disney dvd you are looking for and then go to highest price buy it now. They are all within the top 10 of that list.

Who can not help but love this movie? I don't care if you're 8 or 80! The story line is fantastic and the characters even better! How about that Tinker Bell? Peter Pan? Wendy? This movie is one that has always been one of my favorites from childhood even until now. From the beginning to the end, you will not be disappointed. Any home with a child is not complete without it. Dare to watch it as a young boy discovers what a mother is and tries to create his own version.

This Disney portrayal of J. M. Barrie's classic is delight to watch. You don't have to be a child to enjoy this movie. As an adult, rediscover the magic of imagination and remember what it was like to realize for the first time that you didn't want the responsibility of being an adult. Through this movie, feel young again and along the way share this with the young ones in your life. Let them know what it feels like to "believe" in fairies, even if it's only for a short while.

Hard to believe this movie is from 1963. A timeless story with bright animation make this an all time classic. Rich characters, such as Pirate Hook and Smee, develop the film into a favorite. Everyone in Neverland is a little naughty from time to time--even Wendy finds herself getting jealous--which was why Peter banished Tinkerbell. Disney turned a well written book into a family movie to watch over and over. In fact--Disney is supposed to come out with a Tinkerbell movie in 2007. I can't wait.

This is a story about a boy who wont grow up, living in a fantacy world with pirates and indians and pixi's (can anyone say pass the pipe) - No really a stunningly beautifull film with briliant artwork.

How can you not love this classic ? This movie is as fresh as it was in the 1950's. A fun and captivating story for children of all ages.

It is very good. We have shown it in school where my children attend. They loved it. My kids enjoyed it. It is not one they seem to have made thier favorites but it is a good one to watch.

I decided to buy the Peter Pan movie so my child could experience a classic animation. It was a delight to open the movie with her and watch her excitement. It is great that I was able to find this movie with no problems. I think Disney shouldn't decide when our little ones get to see these movies that we grew up with. Thank you to the seller for offering a classic of high quality.

A funny movie... My kids love it. It does have some dated ideas about relationships and a view of Native Americans that is shocking in today's terms. If you buy, try to get a US copy. It is out of print in the US, though. In ebay, it is probably a Chinese copy, which plays but is usually very overpriced... They sell for about $2 in China. Don't overbid or pay too much for shipping! Ask where it comes from!

This movie is among the best Disney movies in animation. The plot is also perfect for kids. Most boys (and girls, too) can relate to the Lost Boys wanting to never grow up and be able to play all the time. Great movie with some funny parts and Peter Pan outwitting the Pirates (the adults). A movie many kids will want to watch over and over and will still enjoy when they grow older.

WOULD SO LOVE THE FILM TO BE RELEASED ON DVD WITH EXTRAS & SPECIAL FEATURES.

This classic film is timeless and fun no matter how many times you've seen it...The cast and story are exciting and fresh even if you've seen the film over 100 times, as I have...The is a Must Have DVD for anyone’s collection!!!

Peter Pan is one of Disney's best cartoons. The story is great and the animation is fantastic. By owning it I can watch it over and over

I thought I would buy Peter Pan as a treat for my kids. It ended up being the worst experience I've had with an ebay seller so far. I sent the seller my money and NEVER received my movie. Not only that but when a few weeks past and I went to ask him where it might be I found out he was no longer a registered user. Go figure! Very disappointed. Have an appeal out there now but not getting anywhere with that. I ended up buying a brand new movie from Meijers on my own (thank goodness Disney re release it). It was the most expensive movie I've ever purchased. Not happy. As a result I've told several people about my experience in hopes they don't incur the same problem.

Excellent Movie...the DVD works great and the kids love the movie..but the Jungle Book didn't work more than once...

I decided to buy it because my daughter had been wanting it for a long time but I never received it. My review is to be careful in buying. I have always had good luck up until now so hopefully I will decide to buy again on ebay.

I paid for this video and never received it. I have tried to contact the seller to see what's going on, but I never have gotten a response.

I love Peter Pan but I was kind of mad that when I got the movie it was a copy the DVD worked but it was a pretty bad copy I gave the seller a positive comment by accident I got another movie the same day and didnt pay attention

I wanted the movie for my daughter, because it is a good movie and she enjoyed it but I never received the product, was ripped off, so I can't rate the product.

I never received it and had to be refunded. I ordered it not realizing that it would take 16-21 business days to receive it. Once I waited about 25 business days and it still didn't come, I contacted the seller and she offered to re-send it, but I said that I wanted it to come in the standard mail (maybe 5-7 days) and she said she couldn't do that, so she refunded it. Initally, I guess the misunderstanding was my fault, but it is just so silly that I could have ordered it from Amazon and gotten it in a week without all the headache. That's what I will do in the future.

I actually Never got the movies I bought, I bought peter Pan, Aristocats, and sleeping beauty. and that has been about over a month. Something happend to the email that showed I bought them, but the money went out of my account and everything, but never got the movies.

I never received it. I wrote the seller and he assured me that he was shipping it. I still didn't receive it. I sent 2 or 3 more emails to the seller and never got a response. Finally, the seller was no longer registered with ebay.

I was buying this for my grandchildren, but I will have to go elsewhere.

I ordered this item at the end of December along with another movie and have still not received either. I have tried to e-mail the buyer a couple of times with no response. Items were paid for over a month ago. I would really like my merchandise please!
