Tabloid Style Trash

The only reason this book merits any attention is that there has never been another book written on Pete Duel. So the information in it is new. But Paul Green focuses on Duel's ex-girlfriends' sad tales of disappointment. Other interviewees receive much less attention.
The book is poorly written in a juvenile tone and is largely built from disjointed snippets taken from interviews. Green apparently revels in being the one to reveal Duel's personal demons. This bias toward trash biography is a cruel betrayal of Pete Duel's talents. Green doesn't seem to like Duel much -- so what was his motivation in writing the book?
