This book scarred me more than any book ever, I read about 2-3 books weekly. I read it over 20 years ago. You may never think of your pets or children the same again. I am buying this one for my son who just discovered Stephen King.
I've re-read this one a couple times and am doing so now. SK really knows his way around the english language and he is called the master of horror for a very good reason. He really taps into a parents very worst fear, the death of a child. I love his early work so much and will continue to keep it on my bookshelves for life.
This book actually gave me nightmares. Much different than the movie! The book has more characters, more events and goes deep into details about deaths, and the story lines. A definate must read.
Stephen King is 2nd on my list of all time greatest authors ( First is Dean Koontz ), I just wish he could write a book a week, Then I wouldnt have to keep waiting for the next one to come out. Im not going to go into details about the book as if you are like me, I prefer to not know anything untill I start reading about it in the book, I have read most of his books so far and I love them all. So as you can probably guess from what I wrote above, I highly Recomend this book.
