I am finding some confusion in which cover is being shown so please make sure you check with the seller as to which version you are buying if it matters to you. I believe there are 3 different versions available.
For my money the version with Amanda Root and Ciaran Hand, which came out in 1995, is the best. It is a wonderful period piece with terrific scenery and costumes. It is very faithful to both the book and the setting. To my mind the acting is outstanding. It carries the full flavor Jane Austin intended.
