As expected, these are some of the best showa in a series that remains excellent even today. Episodes include one of the 4 guest star stand in shows that were done while Raymond Burr was hospitalized, this one starring Bette Davis "The Case of Constance Doyle"; Others include the only color episode ever done, the only trial Mason ever lost, "The Case of the DeaD Ringer" where Raymond Burr plays dual roles as Mason and a suspect (which was done extremely well for the time); and the last show, starring the great Estelle Winwood as a Sunset Blvd type character and showed many of the show's crew from over its nine year run. Bonus Material shows William Hopper trying out for the role of Mason, and Burr as Burger among others; William Talmage's very moving anti smoking public service announcement records just weeks before his death, and other unique material that you will most likely never see except in this collection. A forerunner of comyremportaty favorite series such as the Law & Order franchise, Perry Mason has never entirely left the air and has enjoyed a syndication run in various countries for over 40 years, while still maintaining all it's suspense. Guest Stars (who were paid 750/week at the4 time) have included many actors who were or who became very well known. In this collection, you will see Robert Redford, Ryan ONeal, Bette Davis, Barbara Bain, James Coburn, Adam West, Burt Reynolds, Leonard Nimoy, Margaret O'Brien, Julie Admas, and Dick Clark.

Well Worth buying

I love Perry Mason and this DVD has some of the best episodes. I liked Barbara Hale's comments. And I liked seeing Raymond Burr as he really was in some of the other features of the DVD. It even has the TV movie that was the return of Perry Mason and Della. It has a total of 12 episodes and the full length movie with commentary by Barbara if you want.

Very nicely done. Great bonus features, love the interview with Barbara Hale. Some footage never before seen. There are screen auditions of Raymond Burr trying out for Perry and Paul and Mr. Burger. Wonderful!

My family has watched Perry Mason since I was a child, every week we'd wait to watch the new episode. When I saw this set I knew I had to get it, an it was worth the price. This compilation is really great as it showcases some of hollywoods popular actors before they became famous. The set contains 4 discs with 3-4 episodes on each from different years. The set has an introduction by Barara Hale Perry's long time friend and actor on the series. If you liked the Perry Mason shows you will relly enjoy this set.

I love Perry Mason and these classic episodes are rare and the discs have lots of episodes on each one, so you get a lot of show for the money. The DVDs were in new condition and played very well in my DVD player.

Just what I expected! Excellent clarity, good sound, better than the origianl TV shows. It arrived expeditiously, well packaged.

Like Perry Mason. The dvds are very crisp, clear, and include some scenes that are not on the tv reruns. Bought it because we (my wife and I) wanted the interviews and screen tests.

I loved the whole package, it was intact and sealed as promised, and delievered in the time frame advertised. I bought the dvd because I am a huge fan of the orginial show and it is no longer offered in the area that I live in. I have watched a few of the episodes and they also offered a few extras, which also are quite enjoyable. I highly recommend the dvd/ e-bay services to anyone who is interested in this service.

There has never been and never will be another Perry Mason....don't know how they did it but he just keeps getting better and better and better!
