A true comeback album, Aerosmith's PERMANENT VACATION featured the original line-up, and it gave the band its first top 10 hit in a decade ("Angel"). Thanks to Tyler & Perry's ground-breaking collaboration with Run D.M.C. in 1986 (on Aerosmith's old hit, "Walk This Way"), the band's visibility was high. The rehabilitated band took advantage of that opening with this album, a batch of hard rock songs that recalled their glory days of the 70s.

Editorial Reviews
4 stars out of 5 - ...Cleaned-up band make real 'comeback' album, thanks to Bon Jovi's songwriters penning some hits and MTV introducing the band to Bon Jovi's fans.

Their debut CD after coming clean! Still sounds like the great Aerosmith you're used to, only more alive. There's no profanity that I can recall on the disk, just cool smooth grooves!!

Great mix to cruise down the road, or the sea, and let your mind wander free. If it's Aerosmith you know it's going to be good. It's even better to find a tune you didn't know existed that you immediately like.

      Aerosmith's 2nd comeback album

2nd comeback after Pump, after Joe Perry left the band and a lull in the band's recording.
Did you ever own a pair of Vise Grips? Have you noticed that they always get stolen? That's why I started buying off-brand vise grips, because people don't steal them. This album has that same quality. It rivals Scorpion's Savage Amusement Album in being stolen, highly sought after by coniseours.
The opening song Heart's Done Time is a classic, though little known classic. Rag Doll, of couse you know about that song. St. John and Hangman Jury are the other two must have Aerosmith songs. You take these four good songs, and throw the rest away, you have the reason this album gets stolen from people all the time. Especialy Heart's Done Time, the bass line is authorative!
