Review of Perfumes, Splashes and Colognes

I teach classes in making your own fragranced items. I checked this book out of the library until mine came and I would have paid the overdue fees if I had any!!
There are many fragrance recipes in this book. Top, middle, and bottom notes are explained thoroughly and examples of each are given. The differences between eau de toilette, cologne, etc are also gone over.
How and where on your body to wear perfume is explained. (Diagram on page 63). This section also goes into body chemistry and even the difference that wearing perfume in high altitudes can make.
Throughout the book there are many references to nationally known perfumes, so that you know what family (floral, oriental, etc) is in. This makes it easier to know what you might like to make for yourself. If you know what perfume a friend likes - you can almost be assured that if you make something fragranced as a gift - they will like it.
Filled with all manner of fragrance information, this is a great book for both the novice and the professional.
