The Vera Way Marghab Story

To my knowledge, this is the only reference book about Marghab linens available to date. As a linen collector and seller, I purchased the book in order to become familiar with Marghab patterns, but was disappointed to find that most of the text and illustrations are related to designer Vera Way Marghab's life story rather than to the history of the beautiful linens for which she is so well known. It contains much information about her childhood and a detailed account of her suitors--all interesting anecdotes--but lacks the design information that I was hoping for. It does touch on some of her business philosophies and provides some history of the Marghab factories, but overall, I was disappointed. The most helpful section is a list of Marghab pattern names, but without illustrations for all of the designs, the list has limited usefulness.
