I usually like to own the DVD of a good movie I've seen in the past. The Perfect Storm just so happens to be one of those movies. Fishing and the excitement of the ocean are what drew me to the movie, not to mention the fact that it is based on a true story situation in my home state of Massachusetts. My wife was going to purchase it for me as a birthday gift but she had trouble finding it so as I usually do, I revert to ebay as anything I've needed can always be found there.

Loved the braveness of the fishermean and I decided to buy it because I had seen it before and loved it and I was able to purchase is for a great price.

This movie will become a classic in time... as I have read the book and it mimics it exactly... unlike many other movies in which the books are better... ...please do not take stock in the above Review by Moneycats2007 as the buyer obviously didn't realize that this review is for the movie... rather than the seller... the review appears on every sellers review page and seems to make anyone selling this movie look bad... this is something ebay should have caught and corrected...but obviously did not...Maybe Ebay needs to spell out the directions.. its sort of like when you buy a blow dryer and and the warning label says (DO NOT USE WHILE BATHING) SO..... (HERE'S YOUR SIGN)

I love Mark Wahlberg and I had never seen this movie but heard how good it was so decided to buy it to add to my collection of Mark movies. It was very good but some of those waves make you scared to go out in a boat. I didn't like the neding but since it's a true story they had to stick to what really happened.I don't think I'll ever go on a fishing boat again but I will watch the movie again.

I placed the order, it showed that it did not go through, so I placed it again and got the same message, so I placed it again wound up with three copies, which I still need to pay for, due to an error on my part.
