Perfect Store by Adam Cohen (2002, Hardcover)

The book is well written and extremely interesting. It tells the story of how ebay grew from a one-man, to a small group of intimate friends, to a multi-million dollar (perhaps billion dollar) organization.


Unfortunately it is slightly out of date as it is four years old.

Perfect book for anyone interested in the history of eBay's founding, evolution, and rise to success. It gives you the backgound on all the key players: Pierre Omidyar, Meg Whitman, and Maynard Webb. Only drawback to this book is that with a 2002 copyright, it is due for a second edition to cover the past few years.
