Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult (2003, Paperback, Reprint)

When buying a book I tend to stick with three points. Will it be something that I would want to pass down to my children? Will it keep my attention to the point of not wanting to put it down? Will it grip my emotions and make me feel like I am a part of the world the book is in? When I read this book by Jodi Picoult it made me feel as though I was the main character. I felt this way because Jodi Picoult has a way of making you feel that you are somehow a part to the story. This book was deffinently one of those books that once you start to read you will find it hard to put down. I was able to grasp the way the main characters felt at different points in the story. I loved the way that Jodi was able to tell the story from so many view points. This would deffinently be a book that I would recommend to a reading group. As with all of Jodi's books that I have read thus far I would say that they are all very detail orientated. You don't feel like she is lying to you. Please read this book as I am sure that you will find it just as spell binding as I did.

Jodi Picoult is my FAVORITE author. She writes on hot topics in today's society, ripping topics from headlines and bringing to life the characters that live through them. Jodi does a fantastic job in detailing every character's thoughs, emotions, and actions so that you can almost imagine you know them! Her research and knowledge about the topics, which she gets from experts and people with first-hand knowledge, is uncanny and makes her stories even more real. The court cases are perfection.

Great book, I love this author, hard to put down once you start. I hadn't read a book in a long time till this author was recommended to me by our school librarian. I started with "My Sister's Keeper" and haven't be able to stop. This is my seventh book of hers and I plan on reading more. Thanks to Jodi Picoult I am back to reading again! "Perfect Match" is a GREAT read.

This is a great book! I've read two of Jodi Picoult's books so far and plan on reading all of them since these two were so great! She has such an interesting way of telling the story from every character's point of view. She keeps you interested every minute. She also switches back and forth from past to present and you just can't wait to see what happens next!

Love this author. Read book quite a while ago and purchased this copy for a gift for a friend who hadn't read this story.

EVERY STEP OF THE WAY YOU ARE DRAWN INTO THE STORY LINES. IT'S AMAZING THE WAY JODI PICOULT WRITES HER STORIES.. SHE IS 1 OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS & I TRY TO READ ALL OF HER BOOKS.. YOU ARE NEVER DISAPPOINTED.

I could not wait to read this one and it's a top notch novel. The subject matter is VERY TOUGH :( I have children and really struggled with the little boy's pain and misery, but when you realize it's just a novel - written purely as fiction - then I just look at it from an author's standpoint. Does this book make you laugh? Cry? Get angry?? YES, all of those - then she has done her job as a writer. LOVE where the book went, I stayed up all night and day to read this from cover to cover. One of my fave Jodi books (even with the horrible priest!) 5 stars!!!!

I HAVE READ THIS BOOK BEFORE AND IT SO GOOD!!!!!! SHE IS A GREAT AUTHOR AND I WNATED MY DAUGHTER TO READ THIS STORY. EVERYTHING SHE WRITES IS THOUGHT PROVOKING AND INTELLIGENT. ANOTHER GREAT BOOK BY THIS AUTHOR IS MY SISTERS KEEPER.....I RECOMMEND THESE BOOKS TO EVERYONE...A+++++++++++

In general I love Jodi Picoult's books and this one was fantastic! I really couldn't put the book down once I started to read it.

As a mother of 2 young boys I couldn't help but think....what would I have done in this situation? Certainly every parent wants to protect their children, but would they kill the child molester who did it? While my feelings/emotions would all say yes....would I have the courage to actually go ahead with it? I hope to heaven I am never faced with such a problem!

The entire books is filled with twists and turns and you really have to read to the very last few pages before all your questions are answered.

PERFECT MATCH is not Jodi Picoult's best effort, but the novel is still compelling and entertaining. Repeat readers will be pleased with this domestic narrative.

Central themes are the power of love, particularly a mother's love, the struggle to do right when tempted to do wrong, betrayal, and destructive effects of secrets.
